i really return to writing here (shh i know i barely did any lol) but i know i’ll succumb to self-doubt and comparisons and feeling like im not doing him justice (especially since he’s dear to my heart as a character) and i’ll always feel like i should watch this read that but have no time to do so (i barely have time to eat or drink let alone read a comic or watch a movie/series) arghhhhh idk what to doooo!
my cat passed away after a really longstanding fight with multiple issues, he was a fighter, a real survivor, im forever proud of him, but i will always miss him, it will never hurt less with time… idk how to describe it, but yeah, jsyk where i’ve been at with life n why im not anywhere for a while

listen! I don’t feel like I’m doing him justice tbh, especially with how I’ve never read the comics, haven’t finished even one season at least of smallville and it’s been ages since I’ve watched the movies(only the snyder ones) + never watched the animated stuff!! god i have so much catching up to do, but sadly, im in a critical part of my life where i can barely find time to catch my breath let alone read and watch all of that! so i will have to put this good boi into a hiatus until i get my life together to be able to do him justice! i might pop up once in a while, but mostly nothing serious! this is so saddening and almost depressing for me as i hold this character very dear to me since childhood, but it is exact why i don’t want to do him injustice with my lack of knowledge…etc! thanks for understanding <3
He picks up the newspaper where it was left on, reading the big bolded letters talking about the Wayne Foundation’s recent donations to the Narrows. The ones that had taken the most damage due to the recent Clown Incident yet again. Bruce is unable to hide his distaste at the reality of it; perusing through the rest of the article to note the particular blame set on THE BAT’s shoulders.
“ Well, “ he sets it face down to pick up his drink again and take a small sip. The sunw as out. It'll be his problem again come sundown. “ I’m sure if you want we can give them something else to talk about, Kent. “ He quipped with a playful wink and a noiseless chuckle.
. There is no escaping it: blame. It is in the human nature to degrade and make a MONSTER out of a selfless bravery, a sacrifice necessary for the better of this world, he knows; they have made him a false god, an outsider only for his roots, but then again, they act in such HOSTILITY towards their own, it would be only automatic to receive the same treatment as an alien.
The playfulness that drips off their words does not go unnoticed, a chuckle escapes as head ducks a little, gaze onto the table momentarily before gazes meet again. ❝ Well, ME. Wayne. I’m all ears. ❞ He mirrors their flirtation, eyebrows rise a little as if to tease a reaction off them.

It’s a simple moment. The reach of light seems to warm his skin and makes him look more alive. More human. More man. And he wonders how long his brain will try to convince him this is a dream despite the bleed of reality.
[1] The ache in his muscles. The burn of some spilled coffee on his hand. The same warmth stretching from his toes to his cheeks.

A small smile of his own tucks away behind his mug of coffee as he pulls away only to sit on the chair beside him and take a long sip of the dark liquid. It’s an interesting morning, at least.

Not much escapes his attention: the spilled coffee in hand that makes him almost scoff softly, the tug of lips that tries to hide behind the glass of their dark addiction, and the familiar melody caged in their chest: their heart beat, a soothing sound to his his ears, the missing rhythm to his own.
Hands almost give up the papers in them; they have definitely learned the news already, probably in a more modern approach. ❝ I see you’re still topping the news as usual. ❞ A sip of his own drink is taken once the newspaper is folded neatly and laid onto the surface below his arm. It is not only the Bat conquering the controversial news, but also the philanthropist and their charities and aid to their city.
Despite calloused fingers evident of WARS both won and lost, their touch is gentle, the soft of his skin caressed, dark lashes long enough to hide the color of his hues when looking down at the object in hand: a newspaper, but then his gaze meets theirs, hands lower the reading material in a motion of granting them his full attention. A smile, oh as bright as the sun. ❝ Hey, Bruce. ❞

hey! hope everyone is well! yes, you guessed it right: i’m mostly on hiatus until i’m done with this damn exam, which is on the 26th of aug, and even moving forward, i’ll have even a bigger one but the date is not set yet, so i’ll be in a semi-hiatus even after aug! you might see me posting musings and stuff, maybe even a reply or two? it will all depend on(mostly):

. A blood sample. Hmm. It has always been a sensitive subject with him, a one with a concern. He is not a foreigner to greedy scientists lusting for his blood to be put under a microscope and god knows what more, but this time it’s them, it’s Bruce Wayne. He knows they wouldn’t hurt him, on the contrary, they would have his back, always. Yet, he doesn’t play easy. ❝ Does the bat need to feed? ❞ He jokes, a smile accompanying it, but it slowly shortens, but doesn’t dissipate, his voice is not threatening nor alarming in the next few words. ❝ What for? ❞

in the wake of zod's aborted invasion , she's sitting on the biggest story of the century . a million follow-up stories need to be told . right now , she's struggling to explain the phantom zone in layman's terms . ( where the hell do i even start ? ) fingers worked overtime on the keyboard , rushing to file the story . eyes glued to a screen littered with words she couldn't begin to understand .
the editor-in-chief appeared out of nowhere , traipsing behind was a tall dark-haired nerd probably asking for some kind of work experience . she fails to look up properly , the deadline was more important . ( like i don't have enough on my plate right now . ) she's still reeling from lombard trying to ask her out on a date to some sports game . perry's voice commanded the bullpen , introducing a clark kent . tilting her head , eyes wide . she flashes a familiar smile .
sliding back from her desk , she stands tall . she knew exactly who he was , what he was hiding . her arm extends , offering a hand . but it was more than that , she was confirming that she was a friend . after all , they did save the world together . ❛ hi , lois lane . ❜ her voice was soft , inviting . she had a sense of warmth , superman didn't just save the world . clark kent saved her humanity . their hands clasped together .
❛ welcome to the planet . ❜ revealing a grin , cheeks dimpled . lips curved , she was proud of the joke . but it was a statement . lois lane welcoming the first man from the stars to start his life , finally away from living in fear .

Being here, writing for the good of people, for those who don’t have a sound of their own enough to be heard by a cruel world, it is his dream, and they have made him chase it more persistently now. In some way, it makes him feel more helpful, more—- human.
So is meeting them.
It wasn’t a coincidence, it was faith- not that he believed in such all that much; forging your own path is what his beliefs clutch to, but he is never too old to learn, like a kid too curious for his own good. His sight takes in its surroundings, settling almost immediately at the visage of the familiar face, a smile paints his features as they greet him, extending his hand to accept theirs, their warm welcome, but their humor is not missed. ❝ Clark Kent. ❞

It certainly has been a long day, ALIENS -just like himself- have been taking leisure in bringing HORROR to the people of earth, a one he considers home despite the echoes of voices telling him otherwise, an outsider. He earns his rest, head lying on the arm of the sofa that provides his body with comfort, cape wrinkled beneath him, a hand to his chest while the other dangles off the edge, he is still wearing his suit, the iconic red and blue. He hears the footsteps, ever so light, hears the steady heartbeat, and he knows who is approaching: Bruce. The distance closes, their scent is stronger as they bend to place the gentlest of kisses upon his forehead. He doesn’t fight the smile that creeps to his features, eyes still closed in comfort, taking in the relaxing feeling of their lips pressed against his skin. A moment, and then a hand reaches for the back of their neck, a message preventing them from leaving so soon, it slides gently, caressing every inch his fingertips meet until it reaches their cheek, blue hues visible as his eyelids lift. They could both share a million words with none, eyes speaking to each other in languages only they know.
