I was wondering, do you know if anyone has figured out the what the chemical equation is on Logan's 2.0 shirt? or any of the other information on it?
Can I have an image of it send it through submission
@rptheturk I think I might be the first to figure it out.
To me, it looks like the structure for Vitamin A.
Vitamin A is structurally related to β-carotene. β-Carotene is converted into vitamin A in the liver. Two molecules of said vitamin A is formed from a molecule of beta carotene. (Where I checked my facts)
If not Vitamin A, I place my guessed on Astaxanthin.
Astaxanthin is a powerful antioxidant. It can help relieve pain and inflammation. It is unlike other antioxidants, such as vitamin E, C, D and beta carotene. (Where I checked my facts.)
Hope this helps.
Now all we need is for someone to come up with an angsty theory to go along with it
Only issue is, I can’t see if there are any double bonds, but those hexane rings aren’t closed. They’re open, as there is no connection between the carbons (being taken up by the two methyl groups facing inwards)
If someone who owns the shirt could send me a close-up of the chemical, I can try to analyse it
There ya go!! I literally just got this today lol so happy to be of help!
Thank you! Now, based on my observations (and a lot of drawing and counting carbons), it looks to be Lycopene, the chemical responsible for the red pigment in certain fruits. It is also a dietary component.
Hope this helps!!
Ah! The thought just occurred to me:
Lycopene, C40H56, is responsible for the red pigment of certain fruits.

ADDITIONAL FUN FACT: Lycopene is also abundant in tomatoes; in fact it is named after them. And if you are now blinking in confusion because the words sound nothing alike, I would like to direct your attention to the scientific name of the tomato, Solanum lycopersicum.
And who taught us that one?
You’re welcome.
