dare I say that fictional characters aren't real and therefore don't actually have a gender, and that's why I could not care less if a teenage lesbian finds Leon Kennedy hot

not to be that person but I can't stand it when people are confidently like "this disorder is GENETIC!" so I get curious and look it up to see if that's true but there's only extremely limited evidence to suggest that it is, and the evidence that exists is not based in actual genetics but instead self-reporting and observational/interview studies. like, guys.... especially with mental disorders I'm curious how many of these "genetic" conditions are actually just things that a child developed because they were being raised by a person with that condition, not because it's actually genetic. which is not to say that some conditions aren't genetic, but even then, having a genetic predisposition to something doesn't mean you'll develop it, and not having a genetic predisposition doesn't mean you won't, so it seems kind of shitty to imply that genetics are the key to everything, when they are not.

I'm sorry but if you're gonna confidently say that something is genetic then I need there to be concrete genetic proof that scientists know which genes it's connected to, not "they did a study once that implied siblings raised in the same household were more likely to develop the same mental disorder that we know is common in people who had bad childhoods" because HELLOOOOOOOO, OF COURSE THEY ARE!! that does not prove it's HEREDITARY!

I'm so sorry for the people who go through conversion therapy but if you come back to the internet afterwards to announce your detransition and make content that you know will be used by the alt-right to justify sending other innocent people to conversion therapy, OOOOOOOOO that's disgraceful and I don't think we should support it even if we do feel bad for them

I don't really like the mentality that it's "bad writing" for your character to have a "vague" description. I don't understand why so many readers are desperate for there to be One True Depiction of a character. It's like you guys don't understand the point of books is to use your imagination and interpret things in your own way.
