Whitaker is easily liked because he’s compliant. Santos isn’t easily liked because she’s defiant. The most well liked person in the room caring about the most “difficult” person to like as if it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. Everyone looking at him as if he were a saint for withstanding her, when to him she is his savior. Literally the most important platonic relationship on screen right now for me. Don’t look at me.

robby starting to have conversations with mel AND samira and just walking away before he reaches a conclusion, right as they admit to feeling isolated and unsure…

robby has completely divested his responsibility in these people’s futures. he shows almost no care towards them continuing in the field or maintaining a support network. similarly to his completely shallow debrief of louie’s death with dennis earlier in the season, he doesn’t attempt true connection with anyone this season.

compare this with his investment in collins’ mental health in season one. compare this with him devoting whole conversations to make sure dennis was alright and asking dana to keep an eye on him. compare this to robby going out of his way to assure trinity she was supposed to report langdon.

it’s such a stark difference. his character is devolving before our eyes.

What made you choose those specific fish for the mer-characters?

AAA OKAY SO 👀

For Katsuki I found a real orange nurse shark that's prob one of its kind because it has a condition called xanthism that makes him orange pigmented, but since nurse sharks are pretty chill I combined a tiger shark to suit Katsuki's personality better, and also blacktip reef shark for these little black accents on his design because it reminds me more of his costume colors

For Kirishima I went with great white because he's big and tough, sharp teeth and all but I made it red because..yk, also black dorsal fin as a tribute to his dyed hair ✨

For Kaminari I almost made him an electric eel BUT they don't live in oceans so I had to find something else and I got lucky and found electric torpedo ray that's also yellowish which is perfect?!

And for Sero I chose moorish idol mainly for its colors but also his dorsal fin is so long and it reminds me of his tape quirk which is cute!

I'll be designing more characters once I have time (I really wanna design the girlssss) so expect a lot more 🥰

When characters are complex and are not good or bad and make the wrong choice one second then make the right one the next and have biases and weaknesses and love and passion and blind spots and trauma but they’re trying their best to be as good as they can be but still f up all of the time but that’s okay because they’re human and we all go through things like this in real life and the main message is that we need to choose compassion for each other and call each other out on our bs at the same time—

It’s the way that Michael Robinavitch is putting Dennis on a pedestal bc to him Whitaker is the only one who hasn’t let him down and everyone else is letting their own personal issues get in the way of successfully running the ED (Look in the mirror Robby the call is coming from inside the house!!!) and I swear Whitaker is going to mess up later this season and Robby is just going to explode

Langdon's behaviour towards Santos in s1 was inexcusable, and he owes her an apology which she is not obligated to accept

Santos needs to be able to conduct herself professionally when working alongside him in front of patients regardless

Garcia was out of line for the manner in which she reprimanded Santos publicly, though she was right to draw a line in the sand

How it feels to genuinely enjoy the Pitt and not get caught up on every little bad thing a character has done because they’re all complex human beings and none of them are truly evil like everyone in this fandom seems to think

Robby ran in there, worried for his doctor. A heart attack is serious and he cares for his people. He looked frantically at the paperwork, snatched it from her, saw no abnormalities and raced to check her out with a stethoscope himself not trusting anything but his own senses. Then he recognized the signs. A panic attack. And he immediately saw himself in her. He saw how he broke ten months prior and never really pulled himself together. And instead of reacting out of compassion he reacted the same way he reacted to himself. Out of hatred. He treated Samira Mohan, at a very vulnerable moment, the same way he treats himself every day because in that moment she was too similar to himself. And he hates himself enough to contemplate leaving and never returning
