So, some of the parts I loved the best from the “Present” sections of the book are Millie and Malik and their interactions with Poppy and Casteel. I just…have a lot of feelings about Millie and Malik. A lot.

Kieran and Delano’s devotion to Poppy is making me into a total marshmallow, similar to Delano.

Casteel turning into a fucking cave cat was so fucking badass! I’m here for it!! And just seeing him and Kieran communicating via telepathy was awesome! Still wondering why the Revenant called him a false Primal, but I am betting it’s because he’s joined to Poppy, and therefore has some of her Primal powers.

Re: all the Casteel POV from the first book, I was mostly reading for the Cas and Kieran interactions and they did NOT disappoint.

Now I just need Book 6 stat! (respectfully)

And I think Cas and Kieran are totally off base about why Cas shifted. There is one comment by Nektas like

“You are far too much like him.”

“Like who?” Poppy asked.

His pupils dilated. “The one his bloodline is descended from.”

I think his shifting and him being incapacitated by bone blade and the rev calling him false primal could be related to this. Like he could be someone related to some primal. Also leta not miss that he names his horse Setti which is also name of Theon's warhorse. I am soo excited to see what this angle is actually in the next book. Cannot freaking wait.. need next book now...

I was just re-reading Clockwork Angel and I realized that the Jade necklace that Tessa wore all those years, even though it was Jem's, Will had bought it for Jem.

I had absolutely forgotten about that...

And now I don't know how to feel about that reminder.

TWOTQ SPOILERS:

If you are worried about the joining please read the book first.

See for yourselves. Don’t listen to the other reviews about it.

Once you do you will see many things wrong with everyone complaining about the joining happening.

1. Kieran and Poppy were not a thing before they got Casteel. Kieran would comfort Poppy not flirt with her. He is affectionate towards her because that is his best friend/ ex bonded partners wife and heart mate. Because of those things he loves her in his own way. I do not personally think that it is sexually romantic. It is more that he loves her in a respectful awe inspiring way. They have a respect and love for each other through Casteel. Maybe because Casteel and Kieran were once bonded there is some connection to why poppy and Kieran feel so loyal to each other.

2. They did the joining out of necessity to keep Kieran alive. Did you all miss that? They did it for Kieran. While having the conversation poppy said that if Kieran found someone he wanted to be with they would go through the joining again. Which I think is foreshadowing Kieran finding someone he will end up with.

3. After the joining is done and they all separate we see that Poppy and Casteel have their own room without Kieran. They do things without Kieran. If they were going to be a throuple don’t you think that they’d invite him? If JLA wanted them to be a throuple she would have had them fuck again?

4. Yes we do see Kieran have feelings for Poppy afterward. We don’t know if they will escalate. We don’t know if they are carnal feelings. He could just simply be in awe of his queen/primal. I personally cannot see them being sexual. Just because they fucked during the joining doesn’t mean they will again.

5. Kieran Poppy and Casteel have cuddled before. You guys are making a friendship sexual when it doesn’t need to be. Like the 3 of them needed each other before the whole ending and that’s what happened. Also if they wanted to fuck again they would have then but Kieran told everyone to go the fuck to sleep.

6. Casteel and Poppy are heartmates so it goes way deeper and it means way more then anything else. I do not see JLA making Poppycas into a throuple I’m sorry.

7. JLA Literally wrote about the joining for the past two books and you didn’t see it coming? Like she even brought up a 3some in Willa’s diary. Everything JLA writes has a purpose. You look back in FBAA and you can see everything has lead up to this moment. And even the ending of this book.

If you stop reading the series go ahead. No one is making you read these books. JLA is the writer and she can do what she wants it’s literally her world.

What isn’t okay is taking away her creative freedom and making petitions to get her to rewrite a story she doesn’t have to write. She literally could have said fuck you all and killed Casteel to make room for Kieran but she didn’t.

My heart breaks... literally breaks for Nyktos and Sera while reading about Malec and Ires.

Like howwww the children of those two beautiful people(primals) can become such horrible horrible creatures. One keeps cheating on his wife and ascends his mistress while other sleeps with his brother's Heartmate knowing she is fucking bitch.. twice...

I have no words... Nyktos and Sera deserve better than those two...

So people who are saying Poppy and Kieran were frolicking while Casteel was captured and how it is disgusting... I don't find any scene where they were close to each other except for comforting another.

And the feeding scene, where Keiran says that he thought of memory of beach on purpose. I think there's nothing disgusting about that. Throughout the series Kieran has made poppy uncomfortable. (Like in New Haven when he was watching over her while she was sleeping, or was beside her when she was naked in bathtub. Or even when he told her that Cas could smell her arousal. And many more)

I think it was just Kieran being Kieran.

That being said- why couldn't the joining have been one time thing purely physical bcz of the blood sharing. Why insert feelings there... keep it as friendship. Or maybe it is very strong friendship love they have with physical sharing. My thoughts are so confused.

If I remember correctly, when Emma and Julian were searching for Annabel, they were in cottage that belongs to Malcom Fade. And then Magnus comes through the portal.

Now if I am not wrong, you need to visualize the place you want to go to through portal, right?

So Magnus knew about that cottage.

Now, what if he has previously been to that cottage during TLH time. Malcom Fade probably took Jesse and Lucie in that cottage, away from prying eyes of institute. Is it possible that Jesse and Lucie lived in that cottage for few days like Emma and Julian??
