I will be at New York Comicon this year, in October, both on my own and with the Shadowhunters TV show! Here’s the two panels I’ll be doing — also ABC will have a whole Shadowhunters day on Saturday and be giving away swag and so forth. And read to the end for the final neat piece of news:

New Footage of “Shadowhunters” to be Revealed

The new ABC Family television series “Shadowhunters,” based on the New York Times bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, follows 18 year-old Clary Fray who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is, but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters - human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold. “Shadowhunters” is set to premiere in early 2016.

The panel will include exclusive footage and a Q&A with cast members Katherine McNamara (“Clary”), Dominic Sherwood (“Jace”), Harry Shum Jr. (“Magnus”), Alberto Rosende (“Simon”), Emeraude Toubia (“Isabelle”), Matthew Daddario (“Alec”) and Isaiah Mustafa (“Luke”) as well as showrunner Ed Decter (“Helix”), Executive Producer McG (“Charlie’s Angels,” “Chuck”) and book author Cassandra Clare.

Well, here we go! The cover of Lady Midnight will be revealed during my Friday, October 9th panel. It will be revealed by Harry Shum, Jr, Magnus Bane in the Shadowhunters TV show. Maybe he’ll do a dance? I don’t know myself, but I’m excited to have him there. He’ll reveal the cover, and it will of course later be posted online for everyone not at NYCC.

I love the cover of Lady Midnight and I’m excited for you all to see it!

Hi, I was just wondering, due to my unfortunate location at the moment I can’t go to comic con and I heard something about it being live streamed, how would I go about doing that, is it on twitch? And also is there a website such as Netflix, putting the show up for international audiences or will we have the long wait until the dvd comes out! Several readers, spider senses tingling, have been asking about the casting of Robert and Max Lightwood. Showrunner Ed kindly took some time out of his schedule to shoot over these headshots.

Robert will be played by Paulino Nunes, and Max will be played by Jack Fulton. Ed will try to get a stealth shot of them in action behind the scenes. *finger wiggle* I’m interested to see how they’re incorporated into the show!
