A general art-page of S.E.N. I do art in a variety of mediums, mostly traditional painting and drawing.  Here you will find mainly fantasy art / creatures and miscellaneous nature art.  I also do ethical vulture culture and will label those pieces accordingly in the tags.  - Art done with actual bones and skulls will be tagged “vulture culture” and that art, as well as art OF bones and skulls that isn’t the actual thing will be labeld “bones and skulls” in case you are sensitive to such things and need to block those specific pieces from view.  I also have one spiritually-dark pretty gory thing on here that I drew to deal with a tough time. Stay That Pretty Gold A painting I did solely for a change of header on my main blog, @littleapocalypsekitten - I was getting tired of the mushroom-cloud motif. This is based on the concept of Ray Cats - something that was proposed as a way of keeping people from radioactive dump-sites in the distant future when all of our current languages and symbols have failed. I was watching a thing on Youtube about the Atomic Priesthood last night by chance when I was putting finishing touches on this! I first learned of the concept of Ray Cats when I saw this song linked on a blog. Nope. Acrylic on canvas. A replacement protest-sign for signs I am missing now. All of my other ones got incidentally-stolen because they were in a bag in the back of my car and my car got stolen. I do not know if I will ever get them - or my car - back. I've been pretty PO'ed this week. I needed something for No Kings III on March 28th if I am able to attend (I think I will with the household-ride arrangement). That may actually depend more on my recovery from minor surgery earlier in the week. Also for future-protests. Inevitabilities [IMG ID: A necklace with a little wooden charm in the shape of a guillotine. It is strung with red, silver and polished brown and shell beads - mostly reds, and features bones. The bones are real bones from an undetermined species of animal, but the creator believes that they are the ankle bones of deer. There is a matching set of earrings made with the same type of bones and red and silver beads. / END IMG ID] (The bones were purchased as part of a taxidermy-scrap box I purchased years ago from someone I knew on Deviant Art in Colorado, and so are probably from a mule deer or whitetail deer, as they look to be about the right size). The guillotine-charm was originally an earring that lost its mate and was given to me by an online friend with whom I do mail exchange with, including crafting supplies and finished artwork. I took the earring-hook off of it and made it a necklace. I made this specifically to wear at protests, but I can see myself wearing it in other contexts.

In bright pink paint enhanced by glitter and silver edging are the words "The Leopards Will Eat Your Face, Too. / END IMG] This is a protest-sign for anti-Trump / Anti-MAGA / generally Anti-Republican Party protests constructed for protests in the United States of America circa 2025. I finished it a couple of months ago and it has been taken into battle several times. At the weekly protest I attend, which is on a burm at an intersection - we get a lot of solidarity-honks, but the occasional MAGA-head will tell us to "get jobs," flip us off or call us idiots - or worse - from their cars. (According to organgizers, we are to stay away from the edge of the road because someone got a drink dumped on them once and other people were threatened with vehicular manslaughter with some people doing fake rev and run-ups at the curve. Those were times when I was absent due to illness or doing emergency personal stuff, so I only can go by hearsay on the more violent people. The cat-callers I have heard many times. In any case, this is my message to those people. My favorite sign is my general "IM-(painting of a peach)!" one, for communications purposes, but I do like how this one turned out.

No Due Process: Protest Sign [IMG ID: Acrylic on canvass. 16 x 20. A protest sign against the Trump Regime, circa May, 2025. Science and Magic - Horrible animal experimentation that happens in my novel Malarkey and Belinda. (Undescribed). Illustrations done as Bestiary pages. I did all of the illustrations like this - various fantasy-creatures, some from actual mythology and some I made up exist in the world's setting. Very OLD art pieces. If you were to get the novel, these color illustrations only exist in the Deluxe Edition. The Basic Edition has black and white pen illustrations (of the same creatures with the same text). These versions are acrylic paint on coffee-stained (or tea staining? I think I'd used coffee) paper overlaid with text. Anyway, rifling through some of my old artwork today - and the folder I have related to my novel I saw and remembered these fucked up things. (And I gave a thought to how despite being way off course, a fantasy-world rather than a sci-fi / western world, how I've long been influenced by one of my favorite series of media, Trigun. My title-character was influenced by Vash, in a way, of his being a living weapon who does not want to be - albeit in a different fashion and I just realized when rifling through my old work how much TESLA seems to haunt my dreams enough to influence the stuff that I write and draw that's even in a wildly different world-setting). Um... I posted this to share my artblr with my trigunblr because I think my Trigun followers might enjoy it? Don't worry - in my book, the evil scientists get theirs by the end of it. I have one lady scientist get torn apart by the golden dogs.

Originally just a painting before I made it into the paperback-edition cover. It depicts title-character Malarkey. He is named that way for a reason given in the book (but it was mostly because I thought it was an interesting word that I liked the sound of). I seriously wrote the book and made the painting decades ago, so no association with Joe Biden!

It depicts the Great Dragon of Jeru when he was alive, before his bones became the City of Jeru. Old art. I did this several years ago.

Opportunist in a Predicament Pen and marker on paper, 8-16-2024 [IMG ID] A drawing of a small brown house mouse curled up among birdseed. [END IMG ID] In my house, we have a mousetrap that consists of a tall plastic bucket set up among things the mice like to climb upon, the bottom lined with birdseed. When we catch mice, we release them in a nearby grass-thicket. We prefer it to using snap-traps because my partner and my conscience are clear of killing poor little animals that are just trying to survive and it saves us the trouble of dealing with gross little mouse-corpses, as we would with the snap traps. We do think that we might be laying out snacks for the neighborhood cats and foxes, though. We don't have an ability to really seal up where they're coming in from. We think the neighbors' cats are scaring them up into our second floor apartment. We would prefer not to have mice, but they are kind of cute. And the bucket-trap method is hilarious.

I did this years ago, like, at least 20 years ago, from a jawbone I found in the desert in Arizona back when I lived there and took walks in the nowhere-land area where I lived (the frequent place of illegal livestock-carcass dumping for the area dairy farms and home farmers). How I found some of my best bones.

(Timeframe remembered because I recall doing the initial / first layer of painting out in the graveyard by my house, where the tree lives the day before my family got our first Covid-19 vaccinations when they were newly rolled out. It was a sunny day and the vaccination day had gotten suddenly incredibly windy and cold. I finished it out later with little details and with micron pen-work).
