2024 in notebooks (#40 - #44)
2024 also marks my frist time starting a planner and sticking to it for the whole year! I still use my notebooks to plan tons of stuff, but my everyday life has become convoluted enough that I need a single place to write it all down. I got a Hobonichi Weeks, didn't use it in a particularly groundbreaking or super aesthetic way, and absolutely loved it.
anyway, don’t be a stranger

Here's my one other British pen, a Mabie Todd Swan:
Though I was surprised to learn that Mabie, Todd & Co was originally American. They were established in New York back in 1860. British manufacture began in 1909, and outlived their American branch by twenty years.
This one's a hard rubber pen, black with a red woodgrain finial on the cap. Mabie Todds are prized for their flex nibs, but this one only has moderate flex.
Fine by me. Still a nice writer, and I like the gold bands around the barrel and the red finial. It's a handsome pen with a unique look.
