1. Missing somebody â Call.
2. Wanna meet up â Invite.
3. Wanna be understood â Explain.
4. Have questions â Ask.
5. Donât like something - Speak up.
6. Like something â Share it.
7. Want something - Ask for it.
8. Love someone â Tell them.
We only have one life. Keep it simple.
a letter to myself
next year you need to strive to find delight in the simplest thing, which is something that youâve forgotten to do this past year. let your thoughts and feelings become reality, instead of quickly pushing them back and ignoring their existence.
you also really have to start treating your body better and stop throwing insults at it, because it might not look or function like the body you wish it to be but still it is trying to do its very best.
please accept that life will sometimes be cruel and hit you right in the face and at times the damage can be permanent, but that doesnât mean you have to give up on every aspect of your life, just do your best.
donât try to hide the bits and pieces of you that youâre afraid will make you stand out in a negative light, because they wonât and if someone reacts negatively then just forget about that person. you are the only person who actually has to put up with you own shit and you only have to please yourself.
once in a while a gloomy day will take over and sometimes there will be several gloomy days one after the other and that is completely fine. just remember that it is only temporary and whenever you see a ray of sunlight then cling to it and make sure you remember to carry it with you as a reminder of the good days.
there will always be opportunities youâll reject because you just donât have the energy for them and that is okay but please donât forget to accept a few once in a while. if you donât, youâll regret it at some point and feel like youâve missed out on life.
stop pushing away people. be warm, loving and let them know what you are feeling and who you are. laugh your ugliest laugh and donât be afraid of making a fool of yourself, because that is the part of yourself others want to see.
so please find yourself again and just be you and show everyone who you are. these are the only things you need to do next year.
We really live in a culture where creativity is just⊠shut down. All the time. Let people enjoy things you think are cringey. Let people create storylines for characters and make original ones. Let people create music thatâs âbad.â Let people find who they are and what they want to create. Stop discouraging people from making things that make them happy. It doesnât directly affect you, so why make someone feel bad about what they are doing? We are all only human, we are all trying to become the best version of ourselves. And if that means making weird things then that means making weird things.
How to get the most out of life
1. See each day as a fresh start and a new beginning.
2. Donât be a copy of anybody else â enjoy discovering and being your true self.
3. Be proactive, take control and look for opportunities. Youâve only got one life so make sure you stay in control.
4. Donât focus on the obstacles or things you cannot change. Just ask yourself âWhat next? or else âWhat can I do instead?â
5. Appreciate your limits and then set clear boundaries. You need to care for yourself to be the best âyouâ you can be.
6. Decide on your values and what matters most to you. Then live in a way thatâs consistent with those values.
7. Donât put life on hold as the months turn into years ⊠and thereâs always the chance that some important doors will close.
8. Set goals for yourself â then plan the steps to take you there.
9. Learn from other people that you value as role models â but ignore the naysayers and the hypercritical.
10. Let go of the past, and old hurts and grievances. Donât be afraid to ask for help, or to see a counsellor.
How to be social when you donât feel like it
1. Give your energy level a boost. Itâs hard to be friendly, and to focus on others, if youâre feeling really tired and would rather be in bed. To keep going, grab some coffee or a bite to eat, or go outside for a few minutes, and get some cool, fresh air.
2. Have some tactics at the ready if you donât know the people â or if you have to be with people you would rather avoid. For example, if you donât like the people, ask a friend to go with you ⊠and have a great excuse for leaving once youâve done the minimum.
3. Plan ahead to avoid conflict. Aim to stay in control of your reactions and emotions â and resist the pressure to take part in arguments.
4. Control your contribution. If youâre quiet and introverted then value you who you are. Donât expect yourself to be a party animal. Show respect for yourself by taking time out if you need to, and only talk to people that you want to be around.
5. See it as a chance to practices a few social skills. Take the pressure off yourself by practising your social skills. For example, ask a few open questions, and keep the focus on the speaker. Try and come across as friendly through your use of body language â like making good eye contact and smiling while you talk.
âLife is series of thousands of little miracles. Notice them.â
â Fight for Life
Reasons to be Grateful
1. Youâre alive.
2. You have a roof over your head, food to eat and clothes to wear.
3. You have access to basic education, and are able to read and write.
4. You have choices, and the freedom to make your own decisions (about what to eat, what to wear, where to live, the kind of career you would like to pursue etc.)
5. You are not being persecuted for your beliefs, and you live in a country that respects your human rights.
6. You have faced and overcome some huge obstacles.
7. You have experienced the warmth and the love of friends.
8. There are people in your life who miss you, and look forward to seeing you again.
9. You can enjoy gorgeous sunrises and sunsets.
1o. You have access to the internet!
How to Avoid Over-Thinking
1. When you feel bogged down and you canât clear your mind, do something physical or get some exercise.
2. Set a time limit for your âthinking timeâ then make yourself move on to doing something else.
3. Interrupt the thinking process or distract yourself by diverting your attention onto something very different.
4. Stop discussing what concerns you with everyone you meet as youâll just end up confused, and you wonât know what to do.
5. Accept that uncertainty is part of this life, and we donât have all the facts, or know whatâs further down the road.
6. Throw yourself into a project, a hobby or some work. That will force you to refocus on something else instead.
7. Let your mind go blank and just relax for a while. It will help you see more clearly when you start to think, next time.
Secrets to Success
1. Move outside your comfort zone and try doing something youâre afraid to do.
2. Donât overplan your week, year or life. Allow yourself the chance to be taken by surprise.
. Meet new people and make new friends. Itâs an excellent way to grow and learn.
4. Make a note of your thoughts and ideas. They may be creative â and lead to something great.
5. Allow yourself some time for peace and solitude. Being quiet and alone will recharge your batteries â and provides a fertile ground for thinking through your new ideas.
6. Be honest with yourself, and what you want from life âŠ. And what you need to do to make your dreams reality.
7. Show an interest in others, and whatâs happening in their life. Reaching out and helping people is part of true success.
8. Have fun. Weâre attracted to people who seem to love their life â and since we only get one chance, we might as well enjoy our life!
10 Things that can Wreck your Life
1. Not living in the moment. Always wishing you were somewhere else, doing something different with other people.
2. Blaming your problems on your past. Although the past affects us, it need not define us. We can choose, decide and act â and take control of our lives. Donât let your past heartache and pain affect who you become.
3. Running away from problems. Itâs pointless to bury your head in the sand and pretend that things are fine when youâre dealing with a problem. Face reality, take action and work to turn things round.
4. Being ungrateful. Being thankful sets you free in your heart and mind. It inspires all thatâs good and, also, oils relationships. But an ungrateful person will wear others down. It destroys your spirit, and it saps your energy.
5. Being angry and bitter. Refusing to forgive and bearing grudges against others will slowly poison our personality. Itâs much better to release them and to focus, instead, on living a happy and fulfilling life.
6. Letting your expectations rule your life. Life rarely goes smoothly and according to plan â and people disappoint us and let us down. Accepting this is normal takes some tension out of life.
7. Disrespecting yourself and others. Every single person deserves respect, and every single person is fighting their own battle. So focus on being kind, understanding and forgiving.
8. Neglecting important relationship. A relationship thatâs built on unconditional love â where a person accepts us for who and what we are â is truly a gift and is worth fighting for. Donât take it for granted â recognise that itâs a gift.
9. Loving people who are bad for us. Not every person will build into your life. Be aware of those who whoâll use you, or who want to bring you down, or who want to hurt you, or destroy your confidence.
10. Never taking risks. If you always play it safe, youâll find you end up going nowhere. You must be ready and willing to take risks. If you donât, you may regret it as youâll miss so much in life.
Attitudes and Mindsets that can Change your Life
1. Knowing deep inside that you are good enough.
2. Believing you can do it, and believing you can make it.
3. Choosing to be grateful when you feel like complaining.
4. Choosing to hang in there when you feel youâve had enough.
5. Knowing each new day is a true gift and fresh beginning.
6. Valuing others, and treating others well.
7. Investing in people instead of chasing things.
