H O M E 💜🌿
Where I’m staying for now. Can’t stop thinking about everyone still working in face to face roles - supermarkets, pharmacy, carers. It’s been a shock to lose my job from the effects of COVID-19 but I cant imagine actually being out there right now. Everyday fucking heroes. 🌟
Install shots from ‘Nature Morte’ - commissioned for West Projections 2019 and exhibited in the construction zone of a developing building in Footscray.
An animated collage of objects collected and inspired by the very space that ‘Nature Morte’ was presented.
FLUORESCENCE: Art + Science + Play
Seeing the world unseen to the human eye. Workshops, glowing drawings covering everything and and a sci-fi garden exploring how fluorescence and the natural world interact.
A collaboration between myself and Jess Dubblu inspired by and created with the amazing Dr Loz of SciencePlay Kids.
Commissioned for One Night in Footscray 2019 and presented at Bar Josephine.
A new glowing project 🌟🧪🥀🖤

IN DEVELOPMENT: Balloon / Nature Project
A test image for what will be my first solo video work for a while! I’m starting work on a video which captures a balloon garden as it deflates and morphs, my goal is to explore issues around the environment, waste, the natural world and human interruptions into the landscape. I’m excited about this! It’s a project that I’ve wanted to get into for ages but I feel like now I have the technical skills to pull it off as a video and am ready to get into research mode.
Wish me luck 🍀
‘To Tread Lightly’ is a welcome mat made by me from hundreds of spiky thumbtacks. Looking at how words and symbols have the potential to be used in disingenuous and harmful ways, by both individuals and the larger structures that govern them.
Exhibited at Rubicon ARI as a part of group exhibition ‘Ghost Without a Home’ in January 2019.
'To Tread Lightly’ is available for purchase through my online shop (studio pickup only).
⚡️
UPCOMING EXHIBITION - Ghost Without a Home
Flying into the year with an exhibition straight up!!! ‘Ghost Without a Home’ - a group exhibition, opens January 16th at Rubicon ARI. Some words from curator Jess Wilson below.
‘Ghost Without a Home’
Underbelly blew up my house. My childhood home was a location for Fat Tony & Co. (2014). It played a meth lab, which mum chose not to take personally. In early 2018 my childhood home was demolished (for real this time), to celebrate I invited my artist friends to create a loving sendoff. For one evening my parents opened up their home of over 30 years to some old friends and some strangers. We called it a ‘House Party’.
Now that the house is gone, our artworks have been cast adrift. 'Ghost Without a Home’ temporarily rehouses and reworks our artworks in a gallery space.
