"I'll have you know the skids and scrapes have no bearing on the card dealing, thank you very much," Though his head was certainly still rattling, Lorcan didn't like showing that he was phased by it. He was a little glad to have an easy gig tonight - measuring and weighing around the warehouse was definitely preferred to pounding the pavement for buyers.
Being referred to as an "investment" made the devilish dealer snort, rolling his eyes at Shae's snarky comments. Maybe she was just in a more privileged position to get away with stuff - Lorcan sometimes felt like he had a sword of Damocles hanging over him. Still, misery loved company and poking fun with Shae lightened the nights of hard work, "See, I'm flattered you would offer, but I think we should really keep our relationship professional. Who knows if we'd grow to hate each other?"
Shae rolled her eyes, how Lorcan & Baron were still left standing at the end of the day was a mystery to her, but also none of her business. "Well you look like a hot mess and it's gonna' scare away people-- no wait actually it might give you more street cred if we like mess up your nose a little more." She teased from her place at the bar, now fully abandoning her paperwork.
"Oh fuck off" Shae laughed, fishing for a handful of olives and tossing them in Lorcan's direction. It was fun and nice to have some downtime between busy periods and even better when she got to endlessly harass her boys. "Yeah keep on dreamin' bud, one day you'll get someone as great as me. But for now ... I'd rather lick rust. than even think about that." Shae raised an eyebrow at her friend. "Speaking of that are you back dating now that its cuffing season?"
