#this whole vent probably needs a bunch of trigger warnings but i don't even know where to start so #ask to tag #i guess #anyway #okay so don't get me wrong i love my cousin #but dear god does he fucking exhaust me #i'm one of the only people in the family that he feels comfortable talking to about his problems which like #good i want to be there for him if i can be #but the problem is is that his problems need a legitimate therapist #and i am not that #he only ever really texts me to vent about his issues #and to be fair to him i always offer to let him talk about it #and he does ask if it's okay because he knows i'm stressed about things going on in my life as well #but like #i say yes expecting to hear things about like. high school sucks and college applications are so hard or there's drama in my friend group #things like that #he has been venting to me for the past half hour non stop some of the most intense trauma dumping i have ever experienced #i have been sitting here just getting this endless string of texts #about how his parents are gaslighting him and he wants to self harm and all of his friends are suicidal and making that his problem #and how he thinks he has an osdd and has been having dreams about being raped and he's too dysphoric to function #and all of his therapists have been trying to manipulate him and he's trying to handle the household finances so they can go on vacation #and he's being made responsible for his family's mental and physical health and one of his friends had to be resuscitated #and he was anorexic in the beginning of the year and can't feel emotion and always has to help his friends but none of them will help him #and i'm just sitting here like.#buddy.#i cannot help with this.#no offense but you need to give a bigger check in with me before bringing all of this and more up all at once #like i'm genuinely sorry and i feel awful that he has to go through all of this but like #he's just throwing all of these problems at me out of the blue and i don't know how to respond #like. i'm not a journal
