First block printing experience. Hella fun
I painted this as a present for my brother’s 30th bday. (Note the 30 leaves) I’m pretty proud of this babe, I’m super stoked! You’ve done too much, much too young.
Colored bat! Ink + Watercolor
This lil dude is for my brother's new side project band, still sort of a secret so I had to take the name off of his tongue. I have a color version to upload later as well, Spence basically said "I want a pissed off bat with an aviator hat on and his tongue sticking out." Lil man will be on pins/stickers.
I threw this lil flyer together for the store for Record Store Day.
This pattern is a new fun idea that I'm really excited to finish. I love the show True Detective & thought it would be really cool to see the little devil's nests put into a pattern. This is the preliminary sketch, still figuring out the angle of the bottom half. I put it into a half drop repeat pattern and it's really shaping up nicely. I'm planning on putting a little spiral right into that small empty spot, and making the feathers look like turkey or vulture feathers, still playing with that too. I didn't realize how much I missed making patterns, it's a lot of work but so fun to get lost in.
Buddy Holly is one of my favorite singers ever because I am an old woman haha. Today I decided to doodle this, I thought it would be neat to make Buddy's glasses X-Ray Specs and stick one of my fav songs in the frames. I did this pretty fast, in about an hour, and I'm thinking about doing more fast jammers like this. Rave on!
Teenage Bottlerocket screen printed & hand numbered poster... I interned with JP Flexner a few summers ago, and we collaborated on this. Best summer, we drew out ideas and had practically identical sketches so we went with it, we printed about 50 and sold them at the show. One of my favorite collabs & the most fun.
Chief Brody from Jaws, aka "Chiefy" I did this doodle a little while ago, it originally had a round rope frame around it with crossing harpoons, but it must've gotten lost in the move. Jaws rules go watch it now.
Working on a Lou Reed piece for a gift, but I'm really taking my time with it. It's got me reeeeally excited! His face still needs some fixing, but this is a fun wip shot.
I've been doin' little jammers lately like this one here
I've been doing fun little sketches like this one and taking them to paint. I just got a new set of Dr PH Martin's concentrated watercolors, and holy pigment. I still have to get more aquatinted with them, this was my first finished piece using them. Who doesn't love pizza
Whoops
I've gotten super behind on this, I plan on uploading more of my sketches and process photos. It'll keep me motivated to finish bigger projects!
Buttons I got made for the closing of our senior show! They came out rad and I'm super stoked to give them out .
Working on my 5 point floral pattern for my textiles class & this is the color study. I was super torn on what colors to chose but I went with the top right teal. Painting it by hand now in gouache about 30" x 40"
