in an effort to make support heroes more balanced, changes will be coming to them soon. the only person who won’t be changed is zen and I’ll go ahead and explain their reasonings below.
BUFF: Nano boost will heal the target 300 hp automatically.
if you’ve played ana you’ve been in this spot more than once: you are at an opportune nano moment. The fight is full swing, your target has an ult and is in just the right position. but their health is low. maybe you rush to nano and they die or you decide to hold onto it so they don’t die. either way you’re limiting yourself and throwing away a golden chance bc of their health. Now, you don’t have to worry that much about it. A nano will heal all squishes and will do a good dent into the healing of tanks. the devs explain that this new change will be a clutch way to quickly heal, a dragon blading genji for example, in the middle of a fight.
NERF: shield bash increased from 6 to 7 second cool down.
Out of her entire kit, Brigitte’s shield bash is one of her strongest abilities. That being said, it can be really hard to play around, especially if the brigitte player is actually good. Overwatch is careful to keep her tank-healer hybrid, so instead of nerfing the shield health, they simply added a second to the cool down. This way, you will be able to fight against it more.
BUFF: Sound Barrier effect increased 50% from 500 to 750 shields.
BUFF: Crossfade aura radius increased 20% from 10m to 12m.
The first change comes to Lucio’s ultimate. When he ults now, each person who is n range will be given even more shields than before. This was done to help counter larger spikes of damage- for example, a junkrat ult.
The crossfade buff was simply done so that Lucio can move around more and be more flexible, while still helping his team out.
NERF: Primary fire healing has been reduced from 60 hp/s (healing per second) to 50 hp/s.
The main goal blizzard has for mercy is to pump out healing at a consistent rate. However, this has made it difficult for other healers to keep up, thus keeping Mercy at the top of the pickrate list. This change was done in order to help other support get picked more. They made sure to note they will keep a close eye on Mercy.
BUFF: Healing resource base regen rate increased 20%.
This change was mainly done for when a person cannot get close enough to enemies to drain resources/do damage to get more healing. Now, she will be able to regenerate her Heal Juice™ a bit faster than before.
No changes! The devs feel like his damage/healing hybrid is at a good spot and that he doesnt need any nerfs or buffs.
