What’s a ghost dog?

If you ever wondered what kicked these off — it was a little sketch / rendition of Frankenweenie (Tim Burton), a limited stock of paper, a growing collection of beautiful oil colours, and a need to paint.

These abstracted sort of sculptural creatures made a great base for just that — their identities and personality suggested through shape and colour.

Something for fun. I liked the idea of these little metamorphing companions.

Somewhat mysterious, somewhat cute, somewhat playful yet elegant, somewhat ethereal, somewhat ominous.

Dualistic

Looking back at some experimental figures of the time — would be fun to create a world. Would love to animate.

Been drawn to various shades of green lately

A name for this little one — still thinking

Ghost Dogs:

It all started with a little drawing which expanded into a sculptural series, painted in oils. Imagined as little metamorphing companions — with their own curious personas, given life through colour.

Its a project I’d love to expand in physical form and animation down the line.
