Character Designs and Concepts for class!

Playing around with creature anatomy and colors, wanted to draw something with really long claws!

There is this trend going on where artists are compiling eyes from their work, it was actually really hard to find pieces that weren’t just using dots or lines for eyes in my art! A lot of these are older drawings!

Been working on a fluffy, pastel, soft, dragon character design! Her name is Mochi and her look is very sweets + dessert themed, she’s a teen popstar + social media star with lots of energy. Now to work on drawing characters who don’t always face to the left 👀💦

There was a special June event on Dappervolk, a beta rpg game i’m a part of! The event included a lot of snails so as a fun little way to celebrate I turned a handful of people’s avatars into snails! Here is the Snarmy!

Marscapone: Game Dev

Update to me portfolio! Took a team based Game Dev class and worked with 4 other students, programmers + artists, to create a side scrolling platformer within a deadline (for URCAD 2018)

Thank you #UMBC for 4 years of great community, it wasnt perfect by any means and the last 2 years were hella bumpy. But i dont regret anything! ---------- And to my campus fam, thank you all for 4 years of love! I'm truly blessed to have met you all and to call you all my friends! After 2 semesters of work I have finally finished my Senior Project! More info and details below the cut!

I learned a lot about cutting and letting go while working on this project, time constraints are fabulous teachers. In the end some of the more complex movements had to be chopped off and taken out but over all I'm very proud and satisfied with the end result! ------------------------------------------------------ Huge thank you and shout outs to my Professor Dan Bailey for all of his amazing support and feedback and to my Roommate Estee for her redlining and animation advice! Couldn't have done this without the 2 of you!

Giffed version of my mograph final!

My motion graphics final! The only requirement for this assignment was to make a 3-5 second long name plate. I got permission to use characters from Dappervolk, a pet site currently in beta testing! Wanted to use After Effects to make a simple gif that could then be precomped multiple times into a more complex comp. Inspired by SlimJim Studios’ work! Closer look at the Birds BG, animated in after effects.

The birds section from my animatic is essentially finished! There are some very small tweaks i need to do but over all i’m satisfied! Currently working on the predator’s section, had to cut out the intro part due to time constraints! BG was a still image animated in After effects, all animal animation was done in Fire Alpaca, and sounds were sourced from freesound.com
