How I Make History Timelines

oml so I was halfway done making this post but my computer crashed and so I have to do it all over again :’-)) but HEY GUYS! this is how I made my history timeline. THANK YALL SO MUCH FOR 150+ FOLLOWERS!! 

Step 1: Plan Your Timeline

Write out the years and events you need in your timeline on a separate piece of paper. You don’t have to elaborate here. This is just for reference later on so you don’t miss out any dates and to plan out your space.

Step 2: Name your Timeline

I did my timeline on a blank A5 notebook in landscape, but you can do whatever you prefer. Give your timeline a name eg. the chapter it’s from or the main event. This is for easy reference later on. Next, place your ruler in the middle of the paper and draw 2 lines on each side of it. Leave some space at the end of the lines as you will draw an arrowhead there. Draw another arrowhead at the start of the 2 lines. It should look something like this:

082415 8:16pm //my last first day of mandatory school: complete. I’ve come up with this method for keeping up with future test dates and quizzes, one calendar for each class and the day is highlighted to show something is happening so I know it’s there and can go online to find the specifics. This is an experiment, I’ll keep you updated, but I think I’ll like it☺️

Tuesday, August 4 2015 - 5:24 PM This weeks planner spread! I’ve just been studying away all day today and dreaming of when I’ll be free. If you have time I would really appreciate if you guys could let me know what my photos look like on your devices. On my laptop they look dark so I brighten them but then on my old laptop they look too bright. If they look bright or dark, please let me know. :)

used bookstore haul from the other day (featuring my new cat mug from marshall’s, of course!) despite being secondhand, all of the books are in great condition, with just a little bit of damage to panic’s jacket. so excited to have these three in my collection!

Started my bullet journal today; let’s see how this goes. I’m really excited about it and can seriously already feel myself being more motivated to complete tasks simply so that I can fill in the box. 

Also, I want to make more of an effort to make #studyblr posts. I fell in love with the community over these past couple of weeks and want to participate. (:
