     ( I have to apologise for my absence. I don't have much excuse to be honest but my muse for Elsa has been thin and my motivation has been so ridiculous because I've been on my Gogo Tomago blog. I love Elsa, but I'm going to take a hiatus until May. During this Hiatus I will be dropping ALL threads. There will be very few people I will start roleplaying again with. These include thrillmethrough and axlittlexfun for the most part. Other people are welcome to approach but I am being very picky. I would still really love to find a Hans but it's kind of gotta wait as I'll be away for all of april. Hope you all understand. )

     It was strange to be somewhere other than Arendelle. It was stranger still for her to be walking the halls of the castle in the Southern Isles but nevertheless that was exactly what the young queen was doing. With only her closest guards at her sides, she'd been guided through the hallway and into the throne room where a familiar face stood. Her instinct was to back off, to glare at him and move in another direction but she had been invited there to make amends. She had to try to make nice no matter how concerned she was at his presence. ❝ Prince Hans. ❞

"Good Morning Majesty, how do you fare?"

    ❝ Well, thank you. I feel fresh and new again. I don't think I've slept so well in quite some time. And yourself? ❞

   ”—-This happened when I was five, wasn’t it. That was why you stopped playing with me those days.”

     ❝ We-one morning we woke up and were playing in the ballroom. You were too fast and I was trying to catch you. I-I didn't mean to hurt you, but I did. ❞ Elsa's voice waivered and she turned away from the other. ❝ I was so scared. ❞

           Voice now void of laughter and eyes empty of delight, a frown knitted its way onto Jack’s features. Of course it was too good to be true. There were eyes around every corner, worked into paintings, hidden in the brickwork, and all refused to allow the pair a moment of privacy. Though, of course it was all reasonable in the eyes of the royal court and the guards. A Queen could, and must, do far better for herself than a lowly commoner, lest her kingdom fall to ruin.

           His brow dripping with anger as the guard grasped onto Elsa, Jack could hardly resist the urge to attack in retaliation, though that would simply bring a far worse punishment. For a moment, the man had considered following his Queen’s instruction to hold back, perhaps they would listen. However, as the moments progressed, it became clear to the commoner that they had no intention to allow him to walk from the castle alive.

           Once Elsa was rendered immobile by a heavily built guard, the rest descended on Jack. Not an ounce of remorse, weapons at the ready. A bitter sound reverberated in the back off Jack’s throat as he scooped up his staff, intent on putting up a fight, even if the wood could cause them little harm. He was quick and agile, so perhaps that would work in his favour, if not, well then he would go down fighting.

     She struggled desperately against her own guards, surprised by the grip they had on her. She had been anticipating an afternoon with her friend. Jack had grown important to Elsa over their brief friendship for she felt lighter around him, as if a weight was lifted from her shoulders. The Queen had thought they had been subtle enough that they could have gone unnoticed but she had been incorrect. Sure, there had been whispers - but why did they care so much about the whimsy of a young woman on her time off?      Horrified and hurt by the betrayal, she momentarily struggled and called out in pain as the guard holding her tightened his grip and hissed in her ear to remind her that this was for her protection. She watched mourfully as Jack took up the staff he carried around with him and glanced at the other men for a few horrified moments. No-he couldn't fight. Surely they wouldn't kill him right there before her?

  ❝ I swear on the power of my crown if you kill him you will all be hanged! ❞ Elsa snarled as the men advanced - but they still advanced, determined to carry out the will of their orders. They would take him into custody, rip him away from their Queen and his dalliances with the throne because that was their duty as her guards - they'd been as good as told so.   ❝ Jack-Please, be careful. ❞ She had almost managed to wiggle free and then a thin wrist and outstretched hand shot towards him, desperately reaching out for the friend who'd brought the only light she'd experienced. How could she lose him so soon? Her fingers itched with magic, itched to fight away the guards and yet she knew she couldn't do that; that she couldn't use her powers to harm anyone again.

           The smile playing on the spirit’s features transformed in a bright and playful smirk as he heard the Queen talk about the children. “Oh? I wonder what spirit that possibly could have been.” As he spoke, a bundle of snowflakes twirled between Jack’s fingertips, before being flung across the room with a flick of his fingers.

           Allowing a quiet chuckle to slip from his lips, Jack jumped down from where he was perched, light on his feet, and drifted over to Elsa. “Poor kid, guess she’s going to be disappointed. Not sure my Queen would appreciate sharing me with a little girl.” Cheeky as ever, the sprite send a wink in the woman’s direction.

     His smirk was catching and infectious and Elsa felt her cheeks heat up and her heart race in her chest the closer he got. ❝ I think I know very well the spirit that goes out winning the hearts of little girls. Drawing snowflakes in their hair and nipping at their noses, ❞ She chimed simply as the snowflakes fluttered past her and she allowed them to weave between her own fingertips before they disappeared.  ❝ You're right. I'm not particularly fond of sharing, ❞ She agreed, glancing down as he winked in order to conceal the fierce blush that appeared in her cheeks. Almost shyly she glanced up through her eyelashes only to find that he'd drawn much nearer. The back of a single finger reached up to brush over his cheek as if to test he was real before she forced herself off the doorframe and met his lips very briefly with her own. ❝ Should I be keeping track of these hearts you're breaking? Should I be putting a lock on my own? ❞

           Glancing down at his glass, for a moment Jackson grew entranced, watching as the liquid splashed back and forth in his hold. In that moment the idol had complete control, a feeling so rarely achieved. If he desired, he could leave it untouched, or send it flying across the room through sheer act of will. Although instead, he went for the simple option of drinking on. Not every move needed to be a show.

           As had become custom with so many of her words, at Elsa’s question, Jackson let out a bitter laugh. “Me? I’m not stupid enough to try it. I might hate it and everything it stands for, but I have my reasons for staying there.” If only to help support a family who would no longer speak his name. “I’ve seen what’s happened to those who do and trust me, that life’s not for me.” If he were to despise the world around him, the least he could do would be to gain some pleasures from it.

           She took the bait, like a moth to the flame. Even if Elsa didn’t know it yet, she was one of them. She and Jackson, people like them, they were all cut from the same cloth. Doom to dream and destined to fail. The star knew, if she were to carry on the way she was, within months she would be right back here, so why not start the party a little early?

           ”The perks?” He repeated, smirk playing on his lips as, for the first time that afternoon, he set his drink aside. “Well you see, a lot of pretty girls-” and men on days he felt so inclined “-pass through that place, looking for a shoulder to cry on. Who am I to refuse them a little…comfort?” And more often than not, they weren’t the only ones in need of comforting.

           With Tooth gone and the label willing to turn a blind eye so long as he wasn’t caught, what harm was there in a little fun? And so, as he spoke, eyes flickering with suggestion, Jackson brushed his fingers over her long lengths of hair, returning a lock which had been dislodged in the day’s activities.

     The glass was much emptier than she remembered it being. She hadn't even realisd she'd been sipping at it as he spoke, almost entranced by the motions and the mannerisms that were so different than the way he was on stage. She had admired him as an artist, could go so far as to call herself a fan - though not a fanatic, thankfully - but this was a different person sitting in front of her, telling her things about the industry that she had so desperately wanted to be a part of. She needed an agent, she needed someone she could trust to make sure her deals weren't throwing everything she was and everything she wanted to be under a bus.      She wanted to be famous for the songs she wrote and she wanted to be an inspiration to someone else but in that moment she also wanted to be a comfort to the man before her. So damaged and jaded, she wanted to see a light in him that she hadn't the entire day they'd spent together.      Her drink was finished before she realised and he was much closer than she remembered. And his lips were turned upwards in the way she realised was the reason for his fans. ❝ And if you get something out of the comfort all the better, no? ❞ The words were a surprise even from her own lips, and bright blue eyes closed as he tucked aside a strand of platinum hair. ❝ I shouldn't-we shouldn't, ❞ All very distracted thoughts, considering how close he was and how easily she could kiss him.  ❝ But- ❞ But she really, really wanted to.

"Self enrichment, as if their pay is not enough." He sighs. "Do not worry Elsa, I shall work through them all for you and we can make the necessary corrections and send out the right contracts where need be. We will just do it all without the knowledge of the counsel men. The moment him or they catch wind that we are on them, they will start to cover their own tracks. Let this snake reveal himself for what it is." 

    "I suppose we will catch them by surprise for this. They would show themselves for the fact they are unaware we know. I would much rather be privvy to this than give it all to you to handle, Ferdinand. We can work on this together. If I am going to be a better queen I should know what to look for now that you have alerted me to the fact that I have been correct in my discomfort with these contracts." She sighed softly, taking a long breath. "I'm sorry to take up your afternoon with all of this."

Liz looks at the other woman with a frown. “Aww. How long will you be gone?”

     "I'm not sure yet, a few weeks. Maybe more. It really depends on how many meetings I have to attend and how much fixing has to be done," She sighed softly, looking up at her soulmate and reaching out to brush her fingers over the dulled timer that counted down the moments until they met. "I don't want to go but I'm struggling to find another option."

"Lost the kids. Threw a snowball at them by accident and they took it persona," Jack explained. He groaned. "Architecture, huh? Isn’t that designing buildings? Seems like a fun thing to do with your life. And I take tumbles at home all the time. My sister gets worried are right now a lot. She wants to be a paramedic though. She’s a junior at highschool. Got any siblings?”

If he kept talking maybe she’d get distracted and stop worrying. Or at leasst stop worrying as much. He had  learned that talking often helped when he had something liket this happen.His neck hadn’t snapped so he was fine. He was also still living. Which was great.

     "Well it seems like you've managed to lose them, like you've said. Though I'd keep snowball tossing to a minimum for a while." She nervously chuckled, nodding as she continued to half-check him for visible signs of injury. Elsa really was no good at all of this - people and being hurt. Buildings didn't talk and that was why they were far easier.      "I have a younger sister too," She admitted with a small smile, "Her name is Anna and she's still finding her future. I think she said teaching was in her possibilities, she's pretty good at storytelling and has the personality for it." Elsa said, looking him over. "She's a junior too though. Perhaps they know one another." Laughing softly, the student dusted herself off somewhat and shoved her book back into her bag. "Are you going to be all right to walk, Jack?"

     "Beauty can still be evil." Elsa explained softly, shaking her head as she looked away. "A true love potion, hm? Does that mean you made someone into your true love or what? I've never heard of much magic outside my own."

   Anna, for one thing, was quite happy that Elsa was thinking about it, and was eager to try and help her case, her excitement clearly showing in her tone, her words practically jumping out of her tongue.

   ”Oh, mice and spiders aren’t that bad, not unless they actually crawl on you! Then that’s bad—but attics are fun! There’s all sorts of things there, though I suppose we’ll only be getting a bike this time—oh, but if we see a mouse, I’ll definitely chase it away for you, leave it to me!”

     "I'm not fond of either and I'd rather them keep away from me. So if you can protect me, I'd be eternally grateful." She chuckled softly as she nodded, standing up and offering her hand to her younger sibling.        It was a strange outing to say the very least but Elsa was determined to make Anna happy in anyw way she could. From desserts to trips up into the strange attic she'd never visited. "Perhaps we can make it our mission to organise the attic slowly and find some of the interesting things that have been stored up there for a long time?"

He knew he should have stayed behind the counter that day, but no, he just had to try new experiences.

The young man came out of the back room with a brown towel, going over to the customer’s table where he had caused the accident. He hurriedly wiped clean the table, but the spill was mostly on the woman’s skirt, which made him feel all the worse about it. Afterwards, he went back into the back room (trying not to attract more attention—he was embarrassed enough as it is) and came back with a mop to clean up the spilled mess on the floor, and the drops of coffee from when she wrung out her skirt.

He looked down at the floor, and though it was already clean, his conscience clearly was not. “I-I’m so sorry, miss,” he said again, looking up slightly to face the customer he had done wrong to. “I meant n-no offense. It was a-an accident.” By now, he could already see his manager lashing out at him for such an incident, and he just hoped he wouldn’t get fired yet.

     She shook her head quickly as he apologised, nervous for her own sake as well as his own. Obviously it hadn't been intentional, though the heat had surprised her and she felt quite silly standing there in a wet skirt looking at her things. Today was not going to be her day, she decided, but she offered him a smile none the less.     "Please, don't worry about it. It's fine." She said simply, holding up a hand in acceptance of his apology. "Are you all right yourself? You didn't get splashed at all?" With her things collected up into a pile, she could focus on the matters at hand. Which was trying to calm him down while her own social fears crept up on her. "Accidents happen. Perhaps it was a sign I shouldn't be going to class today anyway, no?"
