Itachi had been awake since early morning he prepared breakfast for his younger brother before he left on a mission,once Sasuke was gone the older Uchiha began to clean up the kitchen and just as he was about done washing the dishes his ears picked up on someone knocking on their front door.Quickly Itachi dried his wet hands off and made his way down the hall to see who was at the door so early in the morning.As he opened it he was surprised to see that it was Kakashi.”Kakashi?”he asked while opening it so the Jounin could step inside.

Kakashi had woken up feeling like training. He’d just come from a mission on the day before but he wasn’t really tired, so he dressed up his uniform quickly and left home. 

Training alone was no fun, though. He’d been training with Sasuke once in a while ever since the boy and his brother had come back to Konoha. Naturally the Hatake was going to their house to ask Sasuke if he wanted to come training. 

 As soon as he got there, he knocked on the door and waited. When he saw Itachi opening it for him, he arched an eyebrow, for usually it was Sasuke who opened the door. 

“Hi, Itachi. Isn’t Sasuke home?” He asked, stepping inside after Itachi had stepped aside. He took that as an invitation to enter.

When Itachi noticed that Kakashi accepted his offer on coming inside the house the Uchiha moved aside stepping beside the door while his hand was still on the door knob.Once he knew the copy ninja was inside he closed the door seeing the arched eyebrow that Kakashi had given him.As the Uchiha heard him ask if Sasuke was home he showed an aplogetic smile telling the other no that his younger brother wasn’t home.”No…Sasuke isn’t home.”he answered feeling bad that the other had come to the house for nothing.”He…left shortly after we had breakfast.”he began to explain.”Sasuke told me he was going out to do some errands…”

Kakashi sighed when he heard the news. Damn, he was so hyped to train… And that didn’t happen often. Not to train and not to other things. He wasn’t the hype kind of person. 

 “I see…” The silver haired man said, running his fingers through his hair. “Do you know when he’ll be back? I was hoping we could train together today.” Kakashi gaze was fixed on Itachi. Itachi had only become more handsome as the years went by. He had to bite his lip not to laugh when he remembered the crush he used to have on kid when they were both at ANBU. That kind of embarrassed him back then. He, of all people, having feelings for someone. And a subordinate, on top of that.

Itachi took notice that Kakashi seemed dissapointed when he told the copy ninja that Sasuke wasn’t home because he had some errands to do.When hearing him ask about when his younger brother might be home he didn’t have any answer to give him.”Sasuke…never told me when he planned on being home…”he said with his eyes drifting away.”But…if he went out to pick up some new ninja tools for his missions,he shouldn’t be gone for too long.”The Uchiha was greatful that Kakashi was there to help his younger brother with his training when he isn’t able too.

Kakahsi nodded and looked at the door. If Sasuke wasn’t home it was time for him to go and leave training with his ex-student for another day. 

 “Then I guess I should go and do some train by myself.” He said, shrugging. “Itachi, can you tell him to come meet me if he wants to train? I’m gonna go to the training grounds, so...” It was when an idea popped in his mind and he looked again at the brunet. “Or do you want to come and make me some company? It’s been a long time since we last sparred.”

“I’m going good, thank you for asking” Kakashi took a look around and then looked back at the kid. “So, you’re going for a stroll? May I join you? Or you’d rather train?”

"My name is Sasuke uchiha...what your name?" He asked politely while tiling his head at him

Kakashi thought it’d be better not to say he knew who the boy was. 

 “I’m Kakashi Hatake. Nice to meet you, Sasuke. How are you doing today?” The Hatake asked, his visible eye curving in a smile.​

Kakashi lifted his gaze from the book he was reading and looked at the boy who was waving to him. It was none other than the young Uchiha.
