✦ The Last Unicorn ? ? ?
✦ I forgot about this drawing cause it didn't turn out how I wanted. But here it is anyway :b The whole thing about people comparing Spinosaurus mirabilis to a unicorn inspired this piece.
✦ Here's a close up (the unicorn is an OC of mine).
As an adult you must cultivate the skill of “Gross! Oh, well. Not my business.”
Applies to everything from BDSM parties to your sister’s godawful interior design choices to weird bachelor pad meals eaten over a sink.

Pulp sci-fi illustration by Italian artist, Aldo Di Gennaro (b. 1938).
This is probably the most culturally important thing I’ll ever seen in my lifetime if I’m being honest. I want this affixed over my mantle, embroidered into my denim, and emblazoned into my flesh so that generations to come may never forget this 1938 gem of an illustration. Put this on my gravestone and name my children after Alfo Di Gennaro. This is what it’s all about.
Artist was obviously a leg man, but I have never seen a female alien love interest designed as THIS alien before. She’s uniquely hairy, bugged-eyed, lines would indicate at least a partial exoskeleton, she has escaped being saddled with the mammories that a non-mammal being would not have, yet she’s got it bad for Space Force Leatherhead and he is so into her. I can practically hear his prose of her cabochon eyes of nebula violet, glowing with the passion to know and be known, in the starlight. The green of her body turning more vivid as discovery (and carnal knowledge) consume her conscious mind.
To suggest a red-blooded, human man could love Greedo’s cousin? Desire her??
This is fantastic, in every sense. How many lives did this change forever?
you! tumblr user!
can you reblog a two-part post in the correct order?
THAT IS NOT WHAT HE COMMISSIONED
Ended up being more intense than intended but that probably makes it better lol

As the years have gone on I've grown to have some beef with the Sisterhood of War short stories, not for anything particular they did, but cuz they more or less robbed Riven of what I think would've been a cooler story
Where Sisterhood has Riven essentially agree to go back to Noxus to face "judgement" in a very private and disconnected part of the world, she could've done this while actively going to help defend Ionia from the second Noxian Invasion of Ionia, and either choosing to go with Noxus under some vague concept of sparing some Ionians from a nasty fate, or fighting till she can't stand anymore and gets physically dragged back home
No weird Black Rose runic blade macguffins to track her down; she's discovered by the fact she's actively confronting her old "family" again
A stronger moment of her leaving her dad by choosing to fight for their home, in a very direct but also very broad sense, rather than accepting some vague conceptual punishment for sins she's had a few years now to process
Making it more consequential that Riven's in Ionia to begin with; that she's learning from the land and its people, has grown as a person, and has started to recognise the bullshit of Noxus enough to know that it's second coming is bad news for everyone
Essentially I'm a bit pissy that SoW essentially skips the cool part of Riven's story of character development in Ionia, just to contextualize the Awaken cinematic's fight for her and Draven
And they could even still have that moment; SoW was essentially just the shortcut to get there
Hell even the LoR cards which are a short version of this story can fit easier; essentially let Riven beat back her old sisters, and realize she needs to take the fight to Noxus and stuff like that
There's a few stories in League that are like this; having to dredge up explanations for why things are the way they are and connect the bombastic action cinametics by brute force, and they all ring in the same hollow capacity in some respects because they're made to connect dots, rather than feed organically in to eachother
"Dead of Winter", "Hollowspun", "Shackles of Belief", "Child of Zaun", "In Battle, Broken", etc
Really these stories are just a microcosm of larger problems systemic to Riot's approach to doing anything with Runeterra story wise, Sisterhood of War is just one of the most embellished versions of that
