I've noticed that I really enjoy this aesthetic.
There's a game with a sword mouse that just came out today! Well, he has a mouse-sized pocket knife which is sword sized for him lol. It's called Small Saga, it's on Steam and it's really really good!
(not a paid ad or anything it's just a cool coincidence that this came on my dash the same day a game I've been waiting for for a long time finally came out :3 )
i thought you were kidding when you said mouse-sized pocket knife but it really is a pocket knife that becomes a standard RPG sword in his hands
WIP. Something completely different. Lots still to do and work out, and I need to think about how heavy I go with the oil washes so as not to lose the tartan.
Alexander McQueen inspired Adepta Sororitas.
Here's how I am thinking about these god-emperor fantics and the look I want to try and cultivate.
I also wanted to make them wholly different to my Aeldari. I think the AS are the embodiment of the grimdark imperium, so want to capture some of that.
i shall get to painting my sisters of battle again soon™
maybe when im tired of guard for a bit
Hey, are you wanting to paint miniatures, but you're worried that you aren't going to be good at it?
Go paint miniatures.
Doesn't matter if it's 40k, dungeons and dragons, mech warrior, 3D printed or cobbled from spare bits; whatever you have, and with whatever you have, go paint them. Three paints or fifteen paints, in the end, if the gray thing has color on it, it's perfect.
It doesn't matter if they are tournament qualifying (unless you're going for that, then do that!)
It doesn't matter if they are golden demon quality (unless you're going for that, then do that!)
It doesn't matter if they are good or bad.
It doesn't even matter if it has basing.
The only thing that matters is that you have fun while doing it and that you did it in the first place.
It's a hobby. Hobbies are fun.
I love you and thin your paints.
if you don't paint you can't get good
your first mini may look like shit, may only really have 3 colors but you can't get good at a hobby without going for it
camo facepaint
first and hopefully not last attempt at it
I think this is the most definitively that I've been able to answer one of these questions!
Huge thanks to Destructive Creations over on tiktok for the arrowhead, and thanks for watching. See you on the next trope!

this seems a lot like that (mostly) western trope of shooting a hanged man's rope down to save them, which isn't impossible but you'd likely have a better chance shooting the hangman instead
figured now was as good a time as any to get some new detail brushes
the one on the bottom is supposed to be 2/0 round as well
camo guard update
the guy with the bluish-gray plate on his helmet is going to be painted as a combat medic

Some more Desert Praetos.
I always find the “warhammer/40k is fascist propaganda”-discussion fascinating.
On one side there are acctual fascists seeing this horrible and depraved world and going: “Goals!”
On the other there are people saying its indeed fascist propaganda and glorifying its abuses. “Just look at the former group and how they act”
And im just sitting here in the corner going “its a cautionary tale, sometimes handled not very well since they have like 400 different authors and a lack of cohesion.
I'm being screamed at from both sides, and im starting to actually doubt my own reading and comprehension abilities, is satire truly dead? And am I beating its dead horse?
So I went and checked out the biggest BL authors twitter pages, its editors, game developers and lore experts too.
Pretty much every single one of them reblog or post about social issues, are anti-royalist and pro free healthcare and feminist issues. They genuinely seem like good guys, very unlike the “fans” in the first group.
I find is so bizarre that this discussion even exists when social media makes it so easy to reach out and just go “Hey, what are the allegory and moral behind this story?” and its author actually answers.
And still, people misconstrue things, claims it isn't satire, and just make things up that aren't there. When the truth is so easy to find with just a few minutes of research.
i don't care what anyone says
imperium good, xenos bad
