i’ve been trying to assess/be more cognizant of racism in the yugioh fandom lately and i have to say. there is…a lot going on here.

like a lot of it is supported by canon just enough to give people the benefit of the doubt but i’m starting to think i was just giving people WAY too much credit for being aware of the biases of canon when most people really…don’t think about that. even though it’s very obviously present. but maybe people just don’t give much thought to their own biases, either.

SPLATOON RAIDERS DIRECT HELL YEAH

okay so im gonna lay my thoughts down here

- i love the amount of customization we get with raiders, and how much we can experiment with different tanks and upgrading them, gadgets, and gadget customization, and i like the idea of crafting new gadgets as well

- the concept of salmonids dropping weapons is super cool,, and i like the concept of weapon levels = power too, you can replay past levels over and over again for new weapon drops and testing weapons too, as well as seeing if u could get rare weapons as well (which also plays into that replayability aspect too)

- THE SHIVER SONG AT THE END ?? im hoping we get more lore on deep cut

- the easy mode being called tourist 😭 if u go on easy ure a larper i guess

- i noticed that when selecting an island to raid, they have two levels; raid, and raid on spicy, it reminds me of the floors in side order, and that theres salmonid levels which increases and decreases per island, and that there are buried ruins in which you would have to go down floors to complete ,, i wonder if the level also depends on the type of stage, such as if its wider or dense, or ruins

- i also hope that we get more lore on the salmonids and these islands in general. how does it contribute to the splatoon universe? WHY are the salmonids on those islands? what is the history behind certain ruins?

- the soundtrack. splatoon was always amazing with its music,, the track during the gadgets section when they were talking about the different tanks was fire

overall to me splatoon raiders looks like salmonid hell but it also looks SO FUN. so excited
