All are welcome; as long as you treat me respectfully, I'll treat you the same. This blog is strictly mulit-fandom. I mainly discuss TV shows, movies, books, and other media types. My current special interests are: The Pitt, Grey's Anatomy, Bridgerton, ER and the British band Take That. For all things emmerdale or robron please check out my side blog @petebarton.
I try to tag anything triggering; however, I'm not perfect, so please feel free to tell me if I miss something. As my URL would suggest, anyone who is anti-Sharon Carter will be blocked, and anons will be deleted. We don't tolerate hate towards her in this house.

Not to give the Pitt the benefit of the doubt; it's not like it's worked for me in the past. But ERs have slowly started to integrate the psych department in different types of ways. And I have to be honest ,I loved the decision for Javadi to go into psych, it was on my wishlist. Even if she's not working in the ER, I expect her to be down a lot consulting. And we might get to see a different type of medicine. And also have the team downstairs realise that psych needs to be integrated more into the ER than it already is. I am still expecting to see a lot of Javadi, just in a different way. I still think she's one of the core casts. Also people saying Javadi won't be in it at all, that's not what Shabana said. Honestly, this feels like a decision that makes sense. If other decisions hadn't be taken, I don't think it would feel this way.
For anyone who is thinking about or is currently playing Paralives on a laptop without an external mouse. You need to get the Trackpad Fast Zoom (Sims 4 Style Camera) by marissajd29 and Sensible Camera Controls mods by twistedmexi from the Steam workshop. It's made the playing experience a hundred times easier.
I'm watching the Actors on Actors conversation with Paul Anthony Kelly and Patrick Ball, and I keep seeing comments like, "They're 37 and 36. It's never too late, guys!"
Guys, please listen when I say this: being in your mid-to-late 30s is not old.
We've been conditioned to believe that if we don't have everything figured out in our 20s, we're somehow out of time. That's simply not true.
George Clooney got his big break on ER when he was 35. Tom Hanks was 31 when Big came out. Harrison Ford was 35 when he landed Star Wars. Melissa McCarthy was in her 30s when she starred in Gilmore Girls. The list goes on and on.
Your not old in your 30s. If you don't have everything figured out by your 20s, that does not make you a failure. It does not mean you've run out of time.
You're still young in your 30s. You have so much time ahead of you.
You don't think the first episode of TVD was hard to follow? There were points, I got totally lost.
*I think you meant TVL.
It is a little all over the place; but then so is the book. I enjoyed the chaos. It's always been one of the shows where you have to pay attention anway.
I just started watching the new season; I can't stop smiling. When I was thirteen, it was a dream of mine, for them to properly adapt The Vampire Lestat. It only took what a decade and a half to finally get it? But it's here, and I'm so excited. No one could play Louis and Lestat like Sam and Jacob.
No, because my dumb ass took years to realise Noah Wyle was in both ER and Falling Skies. I legit didn't realise it was the same person. It only clicked after The Pitt came out.
People keep recommending Off Campus to me; and I just can't get over the leads being 19 and 28.... like even if he was 27 during filming. That would mean she was 18....it's giving me the ick.
Any of you remember this post? Guess who's now added season two?
THE PITT LINES AND SCENES DISTRIBUTION SPREADSHEET
If you're only here for the spreadsheet, there is is. Go for it. I'm going to go over the basic numbers of this season like I did with the last, and then we're going to compare the two seasons.
I'm not taking a stance in this post in particular, this is purely for numbers. If you want me to find more numbers for other distributions or things to compare, let me know.
I did twenty-four characters in total. Here is the first pie chart related to actual line distribution. In this I included the "other" category to account for the total amount of lines in the show.
The season had a total of 10.58k lines. This chart rounds to the point ones place, but the spreadsheet goes to the point tens, if you're interested in a more detailed distribution.
Our top five contributors (excluding other):
Robby - 14.8% of the total lines with 1.56k
Dana - 6.2% of the total lines with 659
Langdon - 5.4% of the total lines with 575
Santos - 5.4% of the total lines with 571
Whitaker - 5.3% of the total lines with 557
How does that compare to our scene total?
These were determined by the scenes in which a named character has at least one line. The character appearing in the scene does not count. This is specifically for speaking roles in scenes.
There are 523 scenes total within the show (if you want to know, 2x11 has the most at 44 and 2x15 has the least with 26). Again, full breakdown across episodes in the spreadsheet.
Who's our top five? It changes a little, but honestly, not much.
Robby - 41% of all scenes, 214 total
Dana - 24.9% of all scenes, 130 total
Al-Hashimi - 22.9% of all scenes, 120 total
Langdon - 22.2% of all scenes, 116 total
Whitaker- 22.3% of all scenes, 106 total
The fact that it stays almost exactly the same whereas as it did last season
I think this is all really interesting to me, so now let's get into how these compare to last season. All under the cut.
Here's where the cool cats are.
Alright, first we're going to look at the two charts side by side, and then into statistical changes between sesasons.
I love staring at these. It's a really interesting change between seasons, really.
Alright, on to the differences between seasons.
SEASON ONE IS HIGHLIGHTED IN RED. SEASON TWO IS IN PINK. IF THEY HAVE LESS LINES/SCENES IN SEASON TWO, THEY ARE IN PURPLE. IF THEY HAVE MORE, THEY ARE IN BLUE.
S1: LINES - 621/6% || SCENES - 117/22%
S2: LINES - 575/5.4% || SCENES - 116/22.2%
DIFFERENCE: LINES - -46/0.6% || SCENES - -1/+0.2%
While technically he is up in his scene percentage, he is in one less scene so I still highlighted in purple. The change is just due to a smaller amount of scenes this season.
