This is how it works. I love the people in my life, and I do for my friends whatever they need me to do for them, again and again, as many times as is necessary. For example, in your case you always forgot who you are and how much you're loved. So what I do for you as your friend is remind you who you are and tell you how much I love you. And this isn't any kind of burden for me, because I love who you are very much. Every time I remind you, I get to remember with you, which is my pleasure.
"What I leaned in life: That no matter how good a person is, sometimes they can hurt you & because of this we must forgive. It takes years to build trust and only seconds to destroy it .. We donât have to change friends if we understand that friends change.. The circumstances and the environment influence on our lives, but we are the one who responsible for ourselves.. That you have to control your acts or they will control you.. That patience requires much practice.. that there are people who love us, but simply donât know how to show it.. That sometimes the person you think will hurt you and make you fall.. Is instead one of the few who will help you to get up.. You should never tell a child that dreams are fake, it would be a tragedy if they knew.. Itâs not always enough to be forgiven by someone, in most cases you have to forgive yourself first.. That no matter in how many pieces your heart is broken, the world doesnât stop to fix it .. May be God wants us to meet all the wrong people first before meeting the right one.. So when we finally meet the right one we are grateful for that gift .. When the door of happiness closes, another door opens.. but often we look so long at the closed one.. we donât see what was open for us .. Itâs true we donât know what we have until we find it, but its also true,we donât know what weâve been missing until it arrives.. It only takes a minute to offend someone, an hour to like someone, a day to love someone, but it takes a life time to forget someone. Find someone who makes you smile, because it only takes a smile to make a day better, find what makes your heart smile.. The best future is based on the forgotten past.."
Once upon a time, if I wanted to pour out my feelings to you, Iâd just shoot you a text. Iâd wait a couple of minutesâ maybe an hour at most, if you happened to be busy, but not too much time would pass â then youâd reply as quickly as if I came to you in person. Weâd spend the whole evening talking, only stopping to realize that weâve gotten so lost in our conversation as the rooster interrupts us with a crow and the sun comes up. Whatever plagued my mind, you healed by simply being present. But now? Itâs 2am and Iâm sitting in front of my laptop, typing up this letter on email, a window blinking âYou cannot send a message without a recipient.â Gmail just doesnât get that some messages donât need a recipient. Iâm hiding behind the context of anonymity that comes with open letters because I am no longer close enough to you to message you on my own. Another thing Iâd like to tell you is that Iâve drafted this letter a total of 8 times. Iâve added, subtracted, divided, and multiplied my words relentlessly until I realized that no amount of flowery phrases or poetic claims could put you back into the equation. This shatters me. Once upon a time, my phone used to buzz every hour, bearing your name and bedazzled with affectionate emojis. Your numerous texts were badges on my own personal sash of bragging rights. I was the first person you told things to â whether it was an update about your love life, the latest argument you had with your family, a pile of school work youâre too stressed to start with, new drama with your friends, or even just an utterly hilarious picture you spotted on Twitter that made you laugh. It didnât matter what your news was about, all that mattered was that I was always the second person after you to hear it. But now? Now, when people ask me to relay a question they have for you about some new scandal youâre allegedly involved in, it takes every inch of me not to let the heartbreak seep through my eyes as I silently realize how your name is so far down my recent chat list to the point that your once embellished-with-emojis name now blends with the other plain contact IDs that have gotten lost in my sea of conversation tabs. Once upon a time, I couldnât even say that I could read you like a book, because with all the print, sometimes we accidentally skip a word or two. But with you, I never overlooked anything. I saw you as clear and precise as if I was staring straight into a mirror. And maybe thatâs why I knew you so wellâ understanding you, was like understanding myself. We were intertwinedâ connected in a way not even the finest poet could put into words. But now? Now, I hear stories about you as I pass mutual friends in the hallway and I need to keep my jaw from dropping because the things I hear youâve done makes me think that despite all your supposed candidness and candor during our friendship, maybe I didnât know you as well as I thought I did, or possibly, at all. But let me get this straightâ I didnât write this letter to tell you how weird things have been since weâve drifted and guilt trip you into either coming back or apologizing. In fact, I wrote this letter to tell you that even if things may be out of place between us, you need to know that Iâm not angry. I do not harbor any ill or negative emotions towards you; I mean, sure, maybe I did in the beginning, but these days? Not anymore. Honestly, the only thing I feel for you now is gratitude. No matter how tense or odd things between us are today, I canât cancel out our history; at one point in my life, even if it was months or maybe even years ago, you made me happy, and in a world where itâs easier to make a person frown than smile, I am thankful for that. I am thankful for you. Our friendship brought a lot to my lifeâ some lessons were painful to learn, but it was through this pain that I learned to grow. I learned what I lacked in, and I learned what I was doing wrong. I wish I could have figured this all out earlier, not when our friendship was at the brink of full dilapidation.. The tear in our relationship might have scarred me a bit, but thatâs okayâ I am proud of what Iâve gone through. What weâve gone through. Old pal, to me, you are the wound that a little boy gets after falling from doing an awe-inspiring trick on the monkey bars; the wound that hurts the more you poke and prod at, the wound that heals better in time, the wound you remember getting so youâll never repeat the action you did to get it, and most importantly, the wound that demands to be shown off because it holds the essence of all the amazing and epic things you must have done to get it. You deserve the love you keep trying to give everyone else. You are a rare breed, sparking and gleaming in a world that does not yet understand what it means to love ferociously. You deserve to find someone who does not ask you to lessen your roar, who is in awe of the magnitude by which your passion burns. You deserve to find someone who will only ever want to add to your fire, someone who will use their own matchstick heart to encourage your passion, to magnify your flame. Until then, use the world as your kindling, use experience as your coal. Grow your love like a wildfire, and never back down from its heat; never let them dim its light.
Because hereâs the truth about distance; it makes the heart grow fonder only if this heart was already entirely enthralled by you but it makes the heart grow colder if this heart was already unsure about you.
Thailand has become the first Asian country to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis, says the World Health Organization.
When Anya Nopalit became pregnant with her first son, 16 years ago, she learned she had HIV and worried she would pass the virus on to him.
Fortunately, Thailand had launched a program that year to provide antiretroviral (ARV) treatment and counseling for pregnant women with HIV, and her son was born free of the virus.
A decade later, she had a second sonâthis time, armed with knowledge about how to monitor the amount of HIV in her bloodâher viral loadâand the CD4 cells protecting her from infection. She was confident that he would not get sick.
âWith my first child, I was scared, but with my second, I was not scared at all because I knew what my viral load and CD4 levels were, and he wouldnât contract it,â Anya said by telephone while at sea fishing in eastern Chanthaburi province.
The World Health Organization announced on Wednesday that Thailand has become the first Asian country to eliminate mother-to-child transmission of HIV and syphilis.
Elimination of transmission is defined as a reduction of transmission to such a low level that it no longer constitutes a public health problem.
Last year, Cuba was the worldâs first country to receive WHO validation for eliminating mother-to-child transmission of HIV.
But Thailand, which is home to about 450,000 people living with HIV, is âthe first with a large HIV epidemic to ensure an AIDS-free generation,â the WHO said in a statement.
âThis is a remarkable achievement for a country where thousands of people live with HIV,â Dr. Poonam Khetrapal Singh, the head of WHO for Southeast Asia, said in a statement.
âThailand has demonstrated to the world that HIV can be defeated,â she added.
In the 1980s and 1990s, Thailand struggled with a huge HIV epidemic, with an estimated 143,000 new infections in 1991.
Over the decades, it has conducted awareness and condom use campaigns, and provided free antiretroviral (ARV) treatment for all Thais, cutting the estimated number of new infections to 8,100 in 2013.
Thailandâs decision to provide all pregnant womenâincluding undocumented migrant workersâfree antenatal care, delivery and services for HIV and syphilis, pushed treatment coverage rates up, culminating in the validation of elimination of mother-to-child transmission, WHO said.
Mother-to-child transmission has dropped to 85 children infected with HIV in 2015, from about 1,000 children infected in 2000, it said.
According to Thai health authorities, the number of women newly infected with HIV fell to 1,900 in 2014, from 15,000 in 2000.
Untreated, women living with HIV have a 15 percent to 45 percent chance of transmitting the virus to their children during pregnancy, labor, delivery or breastfeeding, WHO said.
That risk drops to just over 1 percent if ARVs are given to mothers and children throughout the stages when infection can occur.
According to the Thai Ministry of Public Health, 98 percent of all pregnant women living with HIV have access to ARVs, and the rate of mother-to-child transmission of HIV has been reduced to less than 2 percent.
DAY 2
DAY 3
DAY 4
This is it. Bumalik ka ng gym with so much determination kase feeling mo #ChangeIsComing. Sa sobrang motivated mo that day, treadmill lang yung nagawa mo for 6 hours. Pero para saâyo, it is considered as heavy workout. Tapos napagod ka na. Siyempre kapag pagod kelangan mo kumain ng madami kasi pagod ka nga di ba. Bakit kelangan mong magpaliwanag.
DAY 5.
Level up. Mega-workout ka  ngayong araw na ito. Then you send your gym-selfie to bae for update. Then bae replied, âBae. Kaya tinamad ka ng mag-gym⊠âcoz bae is your world. And love is the greatest gift of all.
DAY 6
On the way ka na sa bahay ni bae bitbit ang isang box ng donuts kasi magfofoodtrip kayo nang bigla mo itong nabitawan dahil nakita mo siyang may kasamang iba. Mas maganda, mas sexy, mas maliit bewang. Halos gumuho ang mundo mo. Sa sobrang bigat ng nadarama mong kabiguan, you said to yourself, in Amor Powerâs tone,
âMATTITKMAN NIYO⊠ANG BATAS.. NG ISANGâŠ. ( then nakita mo yung bitbit mo )  WOW DONUTS!!!!â
Yun na.
DAY 7
Oo, ganun kadali. Ganun kabilis yung realizations mo kasi you are matured enough to handle a situation like that. I mean, ex-bae. Kaya ang ending, napa-stress-eating ka.
So wala talagang nangyari sa diet mo.
Living well is an art that can be developed: a love of life and ability to take great pleasure from small offerings and assurance that the world owes you nothing and that every gift is exactly that, a gift.
"When you start to know someone, all their physical characteristics start to disappear. You begin to dwell in their energy, recognize the scent of their skin. You see only the essence of the person, not the shell. Thatâs why you canât fall in love with beauty. You can lust after it, be infatuated by it, want to own it. You can love it with your eyes and your body but not your heart. And thatâs why, when you really connect with a personâs inner self, any physical imperfections disappear, become irrelevant."
I think the reason we stay holding on so long is because people like that know what theyâre doing. All it takes is one random compliment out of the blue, a nice gesture, something atypical of them and it sends us wanting more. It satisfies the feeling we felt all along because deep down we knew they were capable of being that person. The person they allowed us to see for a few seconds. We knew they werenât as cold as they present themselves.
Donât be afraid of doing 180-degree turns, to pluck yourself from your tired surroundings and plop yourself where nothing is familiar and you have to learn everything all over again. It's only when you have to start over do you learn what you can shed and what remains when you do. To quote the movie Fight Club: "It's only when you lose everything can you be free to do anything
15. Kindness in the most unadulterated form is the best present you can give to anyone, especially a stranger. Kindness in life is everything. But kindness doesnât mean letting other people step over you to cross a bridge, it is letting them pass first. Learn the difference. You can be kind without being quiet or shy or by holding yourself back.
People don't always return favors.
Reciprocity is nice, but we must remember that it is not mandatory. We can feel hurt upon discovering that someone wouldn't stick his or her neck for you after you already did so. Such is life.
People let you down.
Surprised? Didnât think so.
This may sound similar to reason two, but it's important to keep this idea in mind. Thereâs only so much you can depend on someone else to do for you. Our expectations for those whom we regard to be important can be a bit high at times.
This is a latepost though.. ;) Cheers to the roller coaster that is 2015! You have given me so many frustrating and fabulous firsts! Still, what's more important are the lessons learned along the way and this article perfectly describes it: "That we should cherish every other human being, listen to them, learn from them, teach them, and love all of them, no matter what. I have learned that losing yourself is not always terrible, that sometimes you have to experience being at your lowest to want to crawl back up to your highest. I have learned who I want to be again, have been a person who I do not. I want to say Thank you to those who have loved me this year through my worst, knowing what I am capable of at my best. " Thank you for the gift of family and for showing me what real friendship means. Thank you for my wonderful adventures and the people I shared them with. Happy New Year everyone!
