It can be both to me. The fact that they have to tone down Amy's character while the boys get away with having anger issues and punting a child does say a lot about how society needs girls to be "respectful".

That is also the same reason why people, mostly women from what I've seen, want Amy, as a fictional character, to be back to her true self, because they need that kinda representation.

yeah i had the whole debate in mind, the comic is half about that yes. its just, why is she sooo much worse now, why are her "flaws" now not valid enough? what is her " True Self" ? is that even fair ?
