I usually hear people saying that the members love our maknae Zomdy the most but despite being his bias, as I watch Shinhwa’s shows, interviews, fancams, etc, I realize it’s Syung that they adore the most.

“I think Eric is a better actor than Kim Dongwan. I also think that if Eric had chosen to be a full time actor he would have been very successful. Dongwan? He would mostly be in supporting roles.“
I just spent $70+ to buy the WE ShinHwa 17th Anniversary concert DVD. And let me tell you, I just came back from vacation and I have like no money. BUT, it is totally worth it! They make me fall in love with them over and over!
Weekend Shinhwa video and concert marathon: spending quality time with my six boyfriends.
Sometimes when I watch Shinhwa's live for sad ballads eg. Hurts I wonder who hurt them so bad.
I hated Eric in Stellar's Rocket girl. I thought he looked like a sleazy, creepy wannabe gangster.
Despite what the title says I keep hearing “one shot” every time I listen to ‘White Shirts’
Junjin‘s rap part in „아는 남자“ is really making me crazy. Especially that last part when he said, "Even though you got a boyfriend I don’t care." It feels like he won't give up his possession of my heart to my real boyfriend.
I started off liking Shinhwa not knowing anything much about them, only their music and the pictures of their faces on the CD. It was far back in 1999 where my cousin who lives in Korea would bring back music CDs and VHS of some of the shows/drama for my family. I was still a teen and my favorite kind of songs are those with a lot of rap parts in it so naturally and almost instantly I was hooked to Resolver. The transition between Eric > Andy > Junjin part in it is still my favorite until today. Thanks to my cousin being a source I was able to get their CDs. Of course I had to save for it by sacrificing my lunch money but it’s all worth it. Internet came into Malaysia pretty late and the growth is slow. It wasn’t until I got into University @ 2003 I got to watch plenty of K-show videos shared within the campus intranet (I think it was also the time when K-Drama started to become Malaysian mothers’ favorite evening dramas.) Due to this I was able to learn about them properly. Just like most if not all of us would love them all, I admit I’m leaning a little bit more towards Junjin. His high rap voice in early days was my favorite kind and then the Junjin in the variety shows, what’s not to love. University years for me is indeed the best part in my life not just because it was super fun but it’s also contain a span of my life spent getting close to Shinhwa world.
When Shinhwa held their concert before hiatus on 2008, I graduated a few months after. Post-graduation was my busiest and hardest time because there was recession and things keep going downhill for a few years. To top it off, my T.O.P CD was damaged and couldn’t be played T_T;;. I was devastated but learned my lesson, so I ripped the rest of ShinCDs to store the digital files in my PC, a habit I keep until now. March 2012, my birth month; when they announced their return, I landed myself a job with stable income, a job I still hold today. It’s a bunch of great great gifts for me. And since then I’m able to buy the CDs online, earned enough money to spend it on DVDs and other merchandises. Purchases I’ve never once regret, honestly.
Somehow the timeline makes Shinhwa a good charm in my life. It’s like when they’re around, I’m doing good too. I’m happy when I read confessions like how Shinhwa’s existence brought good things in life because I feel that a lot. I pray for all the good things and blessings for Shinhwa, because they deserve that. Deserve that plenty.

I really don’t like T.O.P. I think the use of Swan Lake is cheesy and really cringe at the use of the n-word. And no, I’m not black.
I must admit that I never expected to like Shinhwa. Like many other SnK fans, I came across the “This Love” dance in 2013. However, due to my tendency to obsess over things too quickly, I avoided watching Shinhwa’s This Love for a few months. After finding out from my friend that it was a great song and that she became a casual fan of them, I decided to check it out. I was absolutely mesmerized by the vogue dance and the members. I was surprised to find out that they're in their 30s as they do not look like that at all. I watched a couple of their live shows and was impressed by their performing abilities. I decided that it would end there. I wouldn’t divulge into them for the sake of my obsessive tendencies and me thinking I was too young than the average Shinhwa Changjo so I couldn’t like them - with me being 16 years old now. Boy, was I wrong since that didn’t last long.
I came across “Intimate Note” with Minwoo, Junjin and Andy and few other funny clips of them and couldn’t help but fall for their charms. I then went on an endless binge of listening to all their songs, watching their past variety shows (Xman Germany Special is definitely a favorite), having a Shinhwa Broadcast marathon during the summer, watching Oppadeuls’ dramas and anticipated their comeback of Sniper and it did NOT disappoint!
I have a friend in the Kpop fandom whose shown many music videos of current groups. I must say I enjoyed them but never really wanted to get into them so it would be a one time thing or listened to their songs casually from time to time if it really had an effect on me until I got bored of it. With Shinhwa, they have a distinct sound in which I could listen to their songs endlessly and not be bored.
I guess I always had a preference for maturer sounds (and maybe boys that looked mature/men with a boyish charm if that even makes sense?) like Super Junior and 2pm nowadays than the usual hip hop and current trends consisting of pretty boys that will one day grow out to transform into handsome men, which I enjoyed but not exactly to the point where I would listen to them - What can I say? I’m too biased towards them.
I’ve managed to catch up with 17 years worth of history but cannot help but think I don’t deserve to call myself a Shinhwa Changjo as I know I haven’t had or shared the same experiences that older Shinhwa Changjos that saw 6 boys transform into 6 handsome men.
I’m glad that newer and younger Kpop fans are becoming fans of Shinhwa as you can never be too young/old to enjoy them or any other group but all I know is that I will always support and admire them even when Kpop goes through their fourth and fifth generations of idols but they will never be forgotten as they are truly legends in every way possible.

My favourite Andy rap part: “I must admit that I’m in love with you, I wanna kiss you” Angel, 2004 Brand New. Because I wish it’s me that Andy is singing to.

The Team says thank you once again. Keep the Shinhwa LOVE strong and going!
I like Dongwan. I like his honesty. I like his voice. I like him as a part of OT6 and I certainly don't want him gone. I just don't love him. And sometimes I feel sorry that I just can't seem to love him like I do to the other 5.
Yes, at second time because fate always gives you another chance in case you missed something important and haven’t realized it. And now I believe everything was settled so I could become a SHCJ.
I got into K-pop in 2011 through an internet friend, and because of her I was an hardcore and only ELF for 4 long years. Being a Super Junior fan, I’ve heard about Shinhwa a lot of times, and when they made the “This Love” comeback in 2013, a lot of ELFs were saying that it would be very nice if their favorite group achieved such a long and respected status like Shinhwa did. Until that moment, all I knew about Shinhwa was their 15-year-old career, and the members were older than 30. I watched two “This Love” live performances, got a big crush on Eric and the song stuck in my head, but it didn’t affect me so much.
Then, in March 2015, the same internet friend who introduced me to Super Junior brought my attention to Shinhwa. They were our principal subject for days (and still are), and she sent me a bunch of videos… When I bumped into “This Love” again, I remembered when I first heard the song and how much I had liked it. But this time, I took the second chance fate gave me and I really stopped to understand why they appeared again in my life with the same music. Guess it’s unnecessary to say I fell in love. I was dragged… Seduced. I can’t go a day without listening to this song, and I honestly think it’s going to be this way for the rest of my life.
I still don’t know how to define all this craziness. It’s like I’ve spent so much time looking for something and finally finding it, not wanting to let go or going back to my old fandom anymore. There are six people who never cease to impress me, making me believe that friendship and loyalty still exists: Eric and his flawless leadership who inspires admiration; Minwoo and his enviable energy; Dongwan and his sense of duty and responsibility; Hyesung and his angel-like voice which can touch even the deepest feelings; JunJin with his contagious smile that can teach you not to be afraid of showing your real feelings and smile after all; and Andy, whose sincerity and caring personality can be felt even with his few words. Honestly, I don’t think it’s possible to look at them and not to fall in love, even if you realize it only years later. I don’t feel like time has been lost but you know, there’s 17 years of history I need to catch up with.

Being a SHCJ is really confusing. A part of me want them to stop being idols. They’re getting older and soon their body won’t be able to endure all those busy schedule. I’ve read about Hyesung’s knee condition, Andy who needs to take painkiller before performing, Dongwan who suffer hypoglicemia at concerts, and even Junjin’s nosebleed during his concert last month. Just retire and get married already. I can’t bear watching them overwork themselves.
However, another part of me, the fangirl, want them to continue and never stop. They’ve just released a new album in February, and I’m already aching for new release. I always crave for more from them. I love watching them sing and dance on stage. I love watching their TV appearances, because they’re hilarious. They’re like adorable big brothers to me, big brother who is twice my age.
I hope they still do all this idol things because they love being on stage. Because they love singing and dancing. Not because they don’t want to disappoint their fans.
My friends may laugh at me for still buying physical CDs and DVDs but to me they are my Shinhwa keepsakes and treasures.
