Floral blanket I made for the ever lovely @sheeponmars ๐
This is the Spirit of Flora by Janie Crow. Deliberately picked some colours that were a bit more subdued. Yarn is Scheepjes Scrumptious, which is 50% recycled yarn and amazing to work with.

Clay Burnette, Columbia, South Carolina, USA Tipping Point, 2021 Longleaf pine needles, dyed, painted, coiled Collection of the Artist
I started this piece by creating a tripod base. As the shape began to develop through constant manipulation to make it stand, I exaggerated the form so that it leaned toward a fourth point. It was important that the fourth point, or leg, remained suspended, creating a vision of stretched movement as if the fourth leg is prepared to touch the surface. I love working with color and unique forms.
It's made entirely of pine needles!!!!
Photo by me at the Fuller Craft Museum, where this was part of the Art Evolved: Intertwined exhibition of quilts and baskets.
Here's one of two detail shots from the exhibition webpage:
Little trinket dragon I made for the always brilliant @sheeponmars ๐

Letโs herd some ungulates with mama
Small needle felted landscapes in a teacup I made as Christmas gifts. The autumn scene found a new home with the ever lovely @sheeponmars.
Inspriration from the book Needle Felting for Beginners by Roz Dace & Judy Balchin (I highly recommend it. Would love to make a storm in a teacup as well)
Two crochet gift thingies I've made for @sheeponmars because she is awesome :)
Voyage shawl
Trio blanket
Both are free patterns and made with Scheepjes Whirls. The pictures don't really do it justice as I had about 4 seconds between finishing and sending it off and the blanket was too big to fit in one shot. Also I have poor planning skills ๐คช.
They were both incredibly fun and relaxing to make ๐
A decoupage skull I made for @sheeponmars :) I wish I had had a little bit more time to varnish more so it would be really shiny and smooth, but I still like how it turned out.
i'm sorry we've fallen out touch it's just that i've been in a very bad spot mentally (2011-present)
Something silly I made for @sheeponmars ๐
Sorry about the terrible photos, they don't really show what an absolute unit this is ๐ I kind of ran out of daylight before I had to send it off.
Free pattern by Projectarian if you want to make one for yourself :)
Itโs gigantic!
Small gift for the brilliant @sheeponmars :)
Small gift for the ever amazing @sheeponmars :)
I felt a sudden overwhelming urge to break my radio silence to say how much I love Cabin Pressure
Since I seem to have forgotten how to draw, have some pictures of pine needle baskets I made (plus one raffia basket and one gratuitous doggo for size)
Dear mysterious benefactor who decided to get THAT much Cabin Pressure art from my redbubble shop:
I usually make about one Dollar a year from that shop, so when I checked the invoice I thought there must be a mix up. Obviously redbubble gets the biggest part of the money, but my percentage was still almost enough to pay for my doggo's monthly shot of pain killers. So on the off chance you read this, thank you, I hope you enjoy the art, you really helped me out with your purchase. 2022 was my personal nightmare come to life, so that really was a much needed moment of joy. THANK YOU!
Hello ๐ณ
