Aureriel knew Mithrandir since she could remember and he never changed as she grew, always shadowing the Wizard when he would visit Imladris or Lothlorien.
It was then that Aureriel let go of Galadriel’s hand, placing Celegon at the base of a tree before climbing up it. Once she reached the branch she desired, she giggled loudly, “Perhaps one day I can meet a dragon too and fly on its back!” the elven child said stretching out her arms and jumping into the river below. It didn’t take long for her to pop her head out of the water close to the edge so she could get out if need be.

There wasn’t much to do that her father would allow her to, such as explore the world outside Rivendell unless accompanied by someone he trusted to protect her. It had been like this since the loss of her mother. “My brothers and father took me outside Imladris for a wonderful horse ride through the valley. I was rather surprised.”
She took this as a sign to her father opening up and starting to trust her with her safety.
[ ☀️ ] — “You will venture out on your own one day, perhaps we can do it together.” Aureriel smiled warmly, reaching out to touch her niece’s cheek. She knew Elrond was just being protective of his daughter after what happened to Celebrian, he wanted to be sure Arwen was safe. “I saw your brothers not long ago, you’ve all grown so much before my eyes. I still remember when you all so very small.”
Aureriel had been present from every birth, wanting to help her sister with the babies. She remembers singing Arwen to sleep some nights when the child was fussy and her sister needed rest.
