You know, I really hate how burned I feel about shipping something that, in any other fandom!, would be the number 1 natural choice to ship and yet so many people loudly hate. And I hate how scared I feel sometimes to speak about said pairing, cuz I don't want to get attacked on the 'net or shunned or have some overwhelming negative response to, again!, a very obvious ship.

...this only started happening in the last few years (I believe? 2017 onward?) and it's probably related to the bullshit ""purity culture"". Ugh
