Story Opener for Cover Story in City Magazine tip Berlin

Some weeks ago, I talked to journalist Erik Heier. He writes for Germanys biggest city magazine called tip Berlin and did prepare a big cover story about crowdfunding and some local characters. Since we are just at the beginning of development, Erik decides to open the report with a portrait of mine. The first two sentences reads as follows:

Changing The Picture

Changing The Picture is a technology conference aimed at broadcast industry executives; producers, production managers, sales and distribution companies and technology providers.

Future interiors accomplish the (digital) return of shelf content to the living room.

Master's Thesis

Today I defended my Master's Thesis at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam. It's written in German and called "Der Smarte Mensch — Design(t) für den Digitalen Wandel". I analyze the difficulties and the meaning of being human in times of digital change. We are surrounded by smart devices, they enhance our senses and capabilities. This is why we have to become even smarter on ourselves, to handle all the everyday dicisions self-determined.

I talked to people — mostly about their specific biography, but also about their media literacy and the future. The results influenced not only my Master's Thesis at the University of Applied Sciences Potsdam, but let me realize the importance of one question: How do we want to live in the near future? With all the streaming services available to us. And less need of physical storage in our living rooms. This question became the basis of #Shelfd.
