Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in return for an honest review. I LOVED this book and I really hope it ends up as a movie or TV show! It was really not what I expected and I absolutely would recommend to anyone who loves horror! It was a slow burn at the start but quickly picked up pace. The sense of helplessness and dread throughout the book was slowly increased by the writer and led to an excellent conclusion.

I finished this in one night. I don’t want to give away any spoilers. But this book was disturbing from start to finish. It will stick with you for days and you will find yourself thinking about it for no reason.
Dangerous Remedy by Kat Dunn is a mixture of history and fantasy in one novel. Set with a backdrop of the French Revolution, a rag tag group of young people are saving people from being beheaded when suddenly they find themselves rescuing a girl with strange powers. They have to fight to keep her safe from both sides of the revolution as they hunt to find her. I liked the idea of this book, but it didn't catch me. I found that the characters were introduced too fast with too many details about their pasts and I didn't really find myself attached to any particular characters. I also had to keep reminding myself who was who. This book just wasn't for me. Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC.
The Ex by Nicola Moriarty explores a new relationship and the pitfalls that occur when all is not as it seems, especially when a crazy ex becomes involved. I enjoyed this book, although it follows a similar narrative to other psychological thrillers and you can guess who the 'bad guy' is going to be very early on in the book, the way it all came together in the end still surprised me. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the chance to review this ARC.
Good Girls Lie by JT Ellison was a book about truth lies and deception set at a prestigious and mysterious girls boarding school in the US. I really enjoyed this book, I am not sure what about it it I enjoyed most but I would definitely recommend it. It brings together mistrust and psychological thrills. Throughout this whole book, I was never sure who or what to believe and it wasn't until towards the end I started to get where the book was going. A must read for thriller fans!
Thirteen by Steve Cavanagh is a fast paced crime novel about a serial killer that twists and turns its way through the story. The main character Eddie Flynn fights the whole way through the book for justice for the victim of a horrible crime and also for the man framed for the crime. This was a thrilling book which I could not put down. It was dark and intense and I loved every minute of it. This book is a must read for all crime fans, especially those who love a good underdog story! Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC and the chance to review this novel
Here There Are Monsters by Amelinda Berube is a young adult, horror style novel. Skye and Deidre's family move to a new town, surrounded by forest after an incident in their previous town. Deidre and Skye have always been close but as Skye becomes a teenager, she begins to pull away from Deirdre, making her own friends. She has always been her younger sister's protector so when Deirdre goes missing what else is she to do. This novel follows Skye's search for Deirdre, but the answers are not what she expects. I really enjoyed this trip into a child’s imagination. The imagery and descriptions are terrifying and I had a sense of foreboding throughout the whole novel. I would definitely recommend this book. Never-Contented Things by Sarah Porter is a YA Fantasy style novel set in modern times. Two foster siblings become involved in an odd group of what seem to be hippies in the forest and what ensues is a fight for soul survival. I found this book a little too left of field for me. It was hard to engage with the characters and become involved in the story when I was constantly thinking what the? thats weird? I don't understand? Some readers of Fantasy may enjoy this but I didn't really.
