the thing is, there are in fact levels to being insane about your OCs. because i thought i was insane about my dragon age OCs. But then i started playing warframe and it’s like a little ‘achievement unlocked’ notification popped up in my brain congratulating me for being The Most Insane Ever about Drifter. i dont remember a time in the last 10 yrs ive been inspired to create so much. wdym i wrote 5k in one day after not writing for two years and regularly draw her and Arthur together. who am i.

OHHHH I feel this in my SOUL. Shipping my Drifter with Amir awoke something in me that'd been dormant for 20 something years.

Like a fucking sleeper agent I awoke and started writing & drawing shit tons of art of them in *record* time and amounts. Everything from the padt year or two is EASILY more than I'd done in the last 2 decades combined. Shipping my blorbos reawoke my creativity in a WILD way lol

Dude I'm in the same boat. I haven't written this much since I was in the Percy Jackson trenches like 12 years ago. It's like a monster that just wants love has consumed me lmao

Other than Tennotober and the occasional Umbra one-shots, my writing stint was absolutely in the toilet for about 2-3 years. Clients from writing jobs stole $600 from me. I had a mental breakdown. I didn't know how to feel anything other than angry.

I never thought much of the Hex quest the first time, but after forcing myself to write something fluffy for Tennotober last year for my Drifter and Quincy, I lost all common sense. The 3-year dry spell ended and I could start to fall in love with writing again (even if I'm still not getting paid for it).

I do find it really funny that despite Roathe trying to prod Drifter into doubting the Lotus because of how weird she's acting about the Indifference, that it's a trap, that she's being used, that Drifter needs to be prepared to defend themselves...

...the very next glimpse of upcoming content we get is the Lotus and Drifter trusting each other enough to let the Drifter jump straight into her memories, get in between her and the Indifference, go "Not today, Wally" and then haul her out of the pool like "I've got her."
