some were open

but i could not go through

was not welcomed

others opened

but were not for me

if i liked what i saw

could not take that home

unopen came more often

closed as yesterdays mind

what happened behind

was not in my sight

unopened

stayed the same

different futures

back hunched. palms upright- meekly offering a serving platter. Take your blame, And put it in my hands. I will eat it and digest it for both of us. When you scream, and the words we once uttered to one another come back up your throat like acid and bile, I will clean it up. When the venom in you splatters on my arms and burns my skin off I will wear the scars to honor you. In time, you will see that even at our end I chose to protect you.

morning blues

The rhythm is always the same:

hard to get up doesnot depend on

how the night has been:

in the company of lady insomnia

or as a peaceful sleep.

That first thought popping up then

as i enter my kitchen is fed by

that sweet , sweet melody which

resembles a swinging blues: coffee!

Each morning i sip half a gallon

without any problem and i notice it

helps me to settle the day's calendar;

duties....oh no!

This poor soul has no particular holidays

this year and consolation i find in the fact

that i am not the only one.

Just as i wander off into other unpleasant

thoughts the magic odour of coffee knocks

at my nose's door asking for another cuppa

and i surrender with a smile.

Rarely speaking praise merely seeking god upon it.

Perilous as any road, paved by few and thankless treads.

Lined by pious travelers encouraging yet dead.

MY JULY

My July is so unpredictable

Sometimes it's depressing

Sometimes it's lovable.

My July- I fear

It brings back people

But I couldn't hold on to them

So I'm alone again.

My July brings rain

Companion of mine

So I can forget all the pain.

My July feels so special

Whether it's the gloominess

Or the hopelessness

It's always full of surprises.

My July helps me to see this world

with a different perspective

when my name is getting called.

My July

Doesn't matter if I love or hate

is attached to me

so, I can't forget the date.

Resenting rest

I need my days of rest,

How else would I get mad,

How else would I feel wholly hollow,

Or supremely sad?

See if work is what fulfills me,

Then the rest must all be low,

And even if that isn't true,

It's all I really know.

I crave to understand the driving force

but i only dream that every version of me

"Pushed Against the Storm's Sigh"

I lie on the curves

of my skull

in defiance

of the cyclones within.

I will eventually wither,

pushed against the storm's sigh

but I hope

my last breath

fills me with starlight

instead of the salt

that dances in the cuts

on my brain

when the days seen longer

than childhood.

I swear the lights

in the sky

are starting to hum

and if I harmonize

I think

I will be okay.
