Going through some old work I stumbled across this doodle from 2010. I used to work in a bar and when it was quiet I would draw the customers on pads of order paper.
Cannot believe how much my style has changed since then, or how different my life is! No longer the aspiring illustrator, but a postgraduate researcher in history.
Maybe my 2016 resolution should be to find time to draw, before I forget how...
It’s important to remember that every human being in the history of human beings, was a huge dork.
It seems the majority of my drawings are of people looking worried.
Don’t be worried to check out my Instagram though, click it up.
I remember a time when writing 5000 words felt like an unbelievable chore. Now it is far too easy to fill that space and editing down is a real bitch.
this defines everything about my writing experiences
This is so accurate I feel like crying.
Party Poison pin up complete!
Materials: A4 board, sharpies, copics, fine liners and finished in an ink wash.
Phew. Gotta say, I enjoyed working on this one so much I might make it into a Danger Days series and create a pin up for each character. Watch this space.

Woah... So this got a lot of attention pretty quick. 100+ notes in two days!
Thanks for all the reblogs and likes fellow Killjoys!

Isn't mixing fun?
Today has been a fun day.
I love my new sharpie set!
So I got a new set of sharpies, and I’m going to town.
Slowly getting used to using inks again, love the brightness of the colours. Hope I have the patience to finish this one.
Line art version: here..

Today has turned into a colouring day.

Where have you been all of my color theory life?
This is one of the most satisfying things I have every seen.
When you love someone so much but detest how long they take in the shower.
You better be so damn clean when you get out...
Love you.
But seriously, get out.
Party Poison update! The line art is (finally) finished. Huzzah!
See here and here for earlier drafts.
Now, time for a splash of colour ;)
I am a researcher, not an illustrator...
Why do I always want to draw a million things when I have a serious deadline to meet?
And why am I looking at hugely expensive copic marker sets when I have a booklist the length of my arm to get through?
What is this malaise?
I am a researcher, not an illustraor.
Get back to real life, slacker.
Procrastination is for losers.
