Yes we have rights in Canada. My government just passed a bill (C-16) that amended our human rights code to include gender identity and gender expression as well as sexuality. So that you can not be discriminated against for those reasons ever! In my province the surgery is paged for by the government as well...i just have to pay to fly to Montreal to get it done
