I am very fond of the idea of Rabastan lowkey being the baby brother. Not in a sense of he was this innocent sweet boy but he lowkey got a sense of security because his brother had everything handled.

As they grew up Rodolphus quickly took the role of the heir and took all the responsibility to himself, that included taking care of his little brother. Making sure he had everything he needed the entire time.

Rabastan had always been a little more chaotic than Rodolphus, while his older brother was handling all the obligations and obstacles of being a Lestrange, a name that has a horrible reputation, Rabastan was not affected, not to the extent of Rodolphus.

Some men are mother’s boys, some men are father’s boys. Rabastan? He is his older brother’s boy.

Though he lacked the precision and stoic personality of his elder brother, he had his own charm, a bright smile, a boyish charm with a better sense of humour than his brother. He also had the ability of making people adore him, just not in the way his brother did.

If Rodolphus was the brain, Rabastan was the brawn. By the time he had turned 14, he was a head taller than his brother (which made Rodolphus a little upset.) he was physically stronger, and by far a better dueller than his brother, which made them a great duo when they worked together.

Rabastan found many things boring during his school years. But Quidditch? That was very fun to him. Whenever he had the chance to stay active, it was his game.

In the end, he grew older but he always stayed as Rodolphus Lestrange’s baby brother. Perhaps it was because Rodolphus had to take care of him for his entire life- but they always worked together, until the very end.

okay i have to know.... was it bella or rod's idea to bring rabastan to the longbottom's? i figured bella chose barty, so did rod choose rabastan? or is it the other way around? (joint decision even?)

I didn’t think it was a decision per se, I see Rodolphus and Bella naturally aiming for picking Rabastan. Not only because he is an excellent dueller but he’s also very used to working with them.

And Alice and Frank? It’s personal for Bella. Of course she’s going to pick her husband, her partner and crime. And his brother, I am pretty sure that they have worked on missions together before, and it is a mission that they go on with the people they trust. And that one weird guy Barty I guess..

So it wasn’t something that was discussed, it was an easy decision to make. I can see Bella having a close relationship with Rabastan.

My moonflower headcanons (pt 1)

It’s a little messy but I’m so fond of friends to lovers arc and I won’t be silenced.

remus who didn’t really like lily when they first met, thinking she was being a smartass most of the time

lily who didn’t understand remus at all and really tried to avoid any communication with him

they were assigned on a potion together one day and they worked in silence on their second year until lily knocked down a bottle and got terrified thinking remus would be mad at her

but he wasn’t, he shrugged and said well you’ve made almost all the work anyway, he was confused about why she was being so anxious even though she was better than everyone at potions

lily talking about muggle world, everyone else in that room is confused as hell besides remus, he joins the conversation

study friends until the late hours at the library, remus lets his frustrations about james slip out one night and lily is delighted

whenever remus gets upset lily is there to console

lily being insecure about how she looks, remus saying “you’re being ridiculous you’re literally normal” to “don’t be stupid you look amazing” slowly

lily has never been the greatest flirt, so when her friends are starting to like people she feels a bit awkward, and remus (who has no interest in dating according to himself) is like “okay I’ll take you on a bloody date can you stop brooding”

ANYWAY. i think they're both strange in opposing ways. i think bcj is a slytherin through and through he cares about results and getting what he wants whereas pandora is a Ravenclaw who cares more about the pursuit of knowledge

i'm so protective of pandora i can only see them together if bcj is like her weird freak she puts leeches on to see what will happen. and hes like huh. okay. i guess. he tells her about how he's getting into reading about this new group and shes like i dont care. drink this potion. and he's like 'whatever you say beautiful'. theyre not even hating its like scientist and test subject. while i like her shes a little too interesting for him and unless he can give her a reason to get fascinated by the way his mind works or like a puzzle i do not see why she would even care about it.
