Hi shiftblr, I’m Maddy (she/her), I’m 23 and I’ve been in the shifting community since August 2020 (though I’ve been trying to “shift” before ever knowing it was a thing since like 2017, but that’s a different discussion).
Have I successfully shifted yet?
No.
Am I still stubbornly trying anyway?
Absolutely.
This blog is gonna be my personal shifting journal — raw, real, occasionally unhinged. I’ll post whenever something noteworthy happens, and maybe share some methods I’m using or experimenting with, as well as share my subliminals/meditations.
Think of it as a space where I ramble, track progress, vent about void limbo, and sometimes (often) throw hands with my subconscious.

✨ Places I’m interested in shifting to:
I’ve got a few DRs, but my main ones include:
Blue Lock (if anyone else shifts here pls reach out ily)

If you’re on your own shifting journey — whether you’re a pro, a newbie, or a fellow “almost shifter” like me — feel free to stick around.
This is a space for growth, self-trust, and delusional dedication (delulu is absolutely the solulu)💫
How I shifted + entered the void recently by controlling my eyes
Putting the step-by-step first so people don’t have to hear me yap (which I will anyway, because I have to tell you why this works and why I figured out that letting your eyes go unfocused is the mind awake/body asleep killer. Or just….the killer in general).
1) Be tired as fuck. Do I recommend staying up until 3 am? Absolutely. Do I recommend sleep-deprivation? Perhaps. Do I recommend wbtb? Yes because that’s probably the least harmful time to do this. The real key here is you need to be TIRED. Like “I could pass out mid-sentence” tired. Or if you have chronic insomnia, just the usual time you’d usually pass out anyway is fine.
2) Close your eyes and notice how they feel. Then notice the difference between that, and when they start to unfocus/ zone out. Because there is a difference. And you’re able to feel it. And when you do realize that they unfocus/zone out, you just caught the murderer. Call the police.
3) Now that you know the difference, your entire mission = keep your eyes from unfocusing. You’ve got two main ways to do this: the first is that, whenever you notice them unfocus, you move your eyes up, down, left, and right to refocus them. It doesn’t have to be in that specific order, but the point is to move them around so they refocus and snap back to being alert.
OR. The other way to do this: It’s basically like fake-blinking with your eyes closed. You just give a few quick light squeezes, then relax back to neutral. Just a fast “blink” motion while your eyes are already shut, enough to reset them back to that fresh just-closed feeling. (try blinking with your eyes closed right now, it’s basically that).
4) “But what if I’m lying there for hours??” That’s why you do this when you’re tired as hell, and not when you’re just casually going to bed. Also, tell your body straight up: “Yeah, that’s right, we’re gonna be here for hours.” Don’t commit to anything else, because why would you? Eventually the body will panic like “Oh shit, they mean business” and fall asleep —while keeping you awake. And then congrats, you’re wide open to shift, lucid dream, void, whatever your heart desires.
So wtf do eyes have to do with sleep?
Well, sleeping is literally the final boss, isn’t it? half the time you fail because you knock out too quickly. Or we stay up all night like crackheads. Or you just …sleep. Like, congrats, you passed out, no shift, no method, no HOPE.
And I thought “how do we even know we’re about to fall asleep?” Sure, there’s the brain soup nonsense thoughts, maybe a slideshow of weird half-dream images,, but the real giveaway is usually your eyes. The second your eyes start to unfocus (when your vision gets that zoned-out glaze) you’re already halfway gone. Doesn’t even matter if you’ve got insomnia, if your eyes do that thing, your brain will follow.
So alright, that’s the enemy if your shifting/void journey feels like a constant 1v1 between you and sleep, and sleep keeps winning. Why? Because your eyes are tied into your alertness more than you think. When you zone out, your gaze drifts, and your brain takes that as a signal it’s safe to start shutting down. But if you snap your focus back even just a little— you’re tossing enough input at your brain to keep it hanging on. Translation: your body can slide toward sleep, while your mind stays just awake enough.
How I applied them
#1 on the test run that actually dumped me into the void (and let me shift out of it) was the little “up, down, left, right” trick. I lied down on my side —my sleep instantly position. Then as soon as my brain started creating random nonsense (the “what would making soup in a canoe be like?” thoughts), I took that as a sign that my body was ready to sleep. Every time my eyes started to glaze over, I snapped them back, moving my gaze under my eyelids— up, down, left, right — like I was dragging myself back.
So I just kept doing it. Every time my eyelids went heavy and slack, I’d flick my gaze around, and it worked. I felt that pull (you know that falling sensation) and I was in the void. It freaked me out so bad because I wasn’t expecting it, then I panic-shifted to my main DR.
AND THEN the most obvious way to keep them from slacking hit me last night. Like. How has this not been my main method since forever?? I swear I’m an idiot sometimes.
I realized that to do this, I don’t even need to move my eyes around. If the whole problem is them going slack, then the fix is stupidly simple: just blink with your eyes closed. Like a little squint — almost like you’re fake-blinking under your eyelids.
Every time I felt them sliding into that unfocused/zoned-out state, I’d just give that quick closed-eyelid blink. It immediately reset them back to neutral, like how they feel the instant you first shut your eyes.
And once you get that, that’s literally all you do: whenever your eyes try to go slack, just give that quick blink, and they snap right back. Your body keeps drifting toward sleep while your eyes (and awareness) stay locked in.
I tried this at around 2-3 am last night (more like, today) and my brain immediately started screaming “FUCK, THIS MAKES SO MUCH SENSE.”
I slipped into the void so fast I actually snapped back out because I was SO MAD it worked and I hadn’t thought of it sooner. Then I fell asleep, and in the dream someone literally told me “you better wake up and try that method again.” So I did, because idk if it’s bad luck to ignore dream characters (it was Oliver Putnam from OMITB, if anyone cares,, I was morally obligated to follow his advice)
I woke up tired as hell, about to knock out again, but this time instead of staring into the black or moving my eyes around, I just kept them in that neutral “just closed” state and, whenever they started to go slack, gave a quick blink under my eyelids.
Within maybe two minutes I got that slipping/falling sensation again. I opened my eyes in the DR I intended to go to practically punching the air because HOW is it that simple??
Live footage of me coming on here to draft this because I’ve shifted to a total of 8 different realities this week which means the past week has felt like 2 and all I want is to lie down but I’m actively busy as I post this hahaHA:
How to enter the void fastest with the highest statistical chances?
Okay so this is kind of a v2 of posts I’ve made before. As you might know, I’ve been doing test groups with protocols to help people shift / enter the void / manifest, and more. Right now, this is my third test group focused just on the void. And I’ve been thinking...
A lot of people want to enter the void in a way that is:
Simple
Fast
But most of all... statistically guaranteed as much as possible.
Now I can't promise it’ll work 100% for everyone, but I can tell you that statistically, this is what has helped the most people feel really close to the void, or actually get in. A lot of people felt strong progress, real shifts, and clarity after doing this.
And first, here’s the truth: the void is real and is accessible. It’s not some magical fantasy. It’s a state, I invite you to check this document at first it'll help you. Let's go:
Demystifying the Void and remind you how accessible it is for you The Void is not some secret space only a chosen few can reach. It’s a dee
1) Holotropic Breathing (yeah, I’m bringing it up again)
This breathing technique is extremely powerful.
But let me clarify something: 20 minutes is NOT enough for most people. You need at least 60 to 90 minutes for the real effects.
Here's how to breathe for holotropic breathwork
You can also check this documents i made it'll answer your question
2) Do it RIGHT
Most “holotropic breathwork” or “deep breath” YouTube videos?
They’re knockoffs. Intro versions. Almost none of them use music properly, and the breathing isn’t circular like it’s supposed to be. You can use them to train a bit, but NOT for your full session.
For example I see a lot of people using this video, holotropic breathing has no rounds, no pauses and no retention and above all it does not last only 15-20 minutes without music
3) Pick your music wisely
This is super underrated. Some people freaked out because of their track. Others felt peace and harmony.
So choose carefully. The music guides the journey.
I am a coach for consciously-connected breathwork, voice dialogue and other body-centered healing practices, as well as a neuroscientist. On
This YouTube channel has video about the Holotropic breathwork , premade playlist that you can listen.
💬 0 🔁 4 ❤️ 43 · How to make a holotropic breathwork playlist · A lot of people don’t realize how essential music is in holotropic breathwo
I also made a blog about how to choose the music and make your own playlist .
4) Prep before the session
Do something that helps you relax mentally and energetically.
A short meditation for letting go, anti-anxiety, grounding… whatever fits your mood. The goal is to be relaxed before you start breathing.
Ideally, you should start with a short meditation of a maximum of 15 minutes.
5) Choose a mantra or anchor
Like:
“I am.”
“I enter the void.”
“My desire will manifest in the void.”
Or even an image, sensation, or emotion that reminds you of the void, like darkness, the galaxy, floating, silence, peace.
If words are hard, pick an image or emotion. That’s enough. It can even be more effective for certains profiles.
These kind of visual for exemple
6) DO NOT QUIT the first 15 minutes
This is where most people give up.
Why? Because your O₂ / CO₂ levels change rapidly on your brain.
You might feel:
head pressure,
nausea,
tingling,
Pain,
dizziness, etc.
These are NORMAL. Especially at the beginning eventually it'll pass. That’s why I shared a documents about common mistakes/question. Some of the biggest ones:
Breathing too fast → not deep and circular enough
Breathing too much in the belly → triggers sleep instead of altered states
Blocking at inhale or exhale → keep it flowing
Choosing music without 3 clear phases → no structure, no journey
7) Use your mantra during the session
Feel it or say it when you feel the moment is right.
Then keep breathing for AT LEAST 60 minutes. You need to go all the way.
8) Set your physical space right
Lay flat on your back
Cover yourself with light blankets
Wear a blindfold (or scarf)
Make sure you’re not going to be disturbed
->Comfort = immersion. Very important.
If your back hurt you can put a pillow behind it.
9) Right after that: put on a guided void meditation
Most people will already be in the void state by this point.
If not? Let the meditation pull you the rest of the way. No pause,go straight into it.
Instead of a void meditation, you can also use frequencies and sounds this is what I recommend.

DAY 2 PREPARATION So for day 2 we’re doing Holotropic Breathing + meditation about shadow work during the day. You’ll need music for thi
You don't need to look at everything I put in this document, but I put meditations in relation to the void or even for premeditation if you are interested before the Holotropic breathwork.
10) Problems and How to Deal:
Sinus issues → breathe through your mouth
Asthma → at first it might feel like a mild attack, but it’s just your O₂ / CO₂ ratio changing. Still, if you get frequent attacks: don’t do it
Heart conditions → if it's minor and you can do sports, go ahead. If your doctor said no physical strain, skip this and ask your doctor
Trauma / PTSD → this technique can bring up deep stuff. Sometimes that’s healing, sometimes intense. I’m traumatized too and had very liberating experiences, but if you have heavy dissociation issues, ask your psych first
11) After everything WRITE DOWN your experience
What you felt, saw, heard, thought.
This helps your brain anchor the experience and come back more easily next time.
Interpreting holotropic breathwork experiences Vision during breathwork: Types of Visions: Archetypal / Mythological: gods, demons, cosmi
I also made a document to help you interpret what you lived.
HOW TO KNOW IF YOU'RE IN THE VOID + RECOGNIZE OTHER STATES ALONG THE WAY + TIPS AND SYMPTOMS FOR EACH STAGE Not everyone enters the v
And another one to know if it was the void or not.
Who's most likely to NOT succeed at first (but it's fixable):
People with massive resistance to letting go
People who overthink the whole thing (though the breathing helps with this)
People who don’t follow the protocol and try to “adapt” everything guys please just follow the steps, I really thought it through😭
People with conscious or subconscious fear of the void (again, the breathing helps)
People who mentally check out during the guided meditation (this lowers effectiveness but doesn’t ruin it)
If you do this once per week, fully and properly,
a lot of people will enter the void either on the first try or feel so close that the next time it’ll click. Tell me your experience with this I'll be happy to hear it.
Okay so my friend just shifted for the second time in two days, both times after listening to one of my subs — I’m both very happy and kinda mad bc ME WHEN??😀💀
Am I the only one who procrastinates shifting? Like I want to do it yet I still...put it on hold at times? Like girl what are you doing? Please someone understand or this would be very embarrassing for me.
I’m only speaking for myself here, but maybe someone can relate:
I’ve found that the reason I do this is because I fear failure too much. I’m scared of nothing working, especially since I’m someone who needs to see some kind of progress in whatever I do to stay motivated. At the same time though, shifting is something I absolutely will not give up, even if I see no progress.
It’s not just the fear of failure itself though - it’s the fear of possibly failing while doing something that might’ve worked under different circumstances, but I’ll never know if it would’ve.
The fear that even if I try the same thing again after that, I’ll still have the mental bias of "that didn’t work", which ends up becoming a self-fulfilling prophecy.
Basically, I’m scared of "ruining" things that would’ve been effective under any other circumstances.
This is why sometimes I’m just… staying in suspense. Procrastinating. Not trying.
A little plug-in of my latest subliminal - designed specifically for deliberate, conscious DR entry.
✦ water flows in the background while theta waves and subliminal affirmations carry you through physical symptoms like tingling, detachment, and vibrations
✦ whispered affirmations at cue the body to let go and your awareness to pass through
✦ ideal and designed for active attempts
✦ 35:35 total runtime
✦ designed for single-use, not looping! → contains theta waves (7 Hz & 4 Hz)

This one is a bit different from my other subs, so I’d love to hear about your experiences if you give it a try!
Please do read the description under the vid first though :)
I finally had a lucid dream that I attempted to shift through.
After wbtb this morning, I set a personalized alarm (a short recording of my own voice) to hopefully catch myself in a REM window and trigger a lucid dream - and it actually worked.
The thing is, I don't even remember hearing the message from the alarm in my dream, but there was a point where I was like "Okay I know this is a dream so I'll try to shift now", so l let myself fall backwards while affirming that I'm shifting/going to my DR — that did not QUITE work out tho💀
———
I felt hella symptoms in my dream when I fell backwards — it felt like I was sinking through the ground as though it was foam; everything went black for a bit and I could feel my surroundings warp around me.
I then woke up in a room I didn't recognize. I started roaming around and realized I was in a house on a farm with chickens (like, I think it was chickens only, no other animals, and there were LOTS of them; one chased and pecked me).
Now lemme just mention this place had absolutely NOTHING to do with ANY of my DRs (except for the room having the name of a person from one of my DRs in it, but I didn't see them in person — also it makes no sense for them to live in a farm house either)
So I think I tried the falling backwards thing again bc I was like "This isn't the right place, let's try again" but I don't remember what happened after that. I probably just went back to normal dreaming.
———
So yeah, I didn't manage to actually shift, but having a lucid dream where I ATTEMPT to shift is already a huge W for me (I've been trying to lucid dream on and off since 2015/16 and I still suck at both inducing and controlling them lol).
Anyway, I'm excited about this experience and it definitely gave me the motivation to keep trying —I hope it could do the same for you.
(this is gonna make slightly more sense for ppl who’ve watched it, but it should work just fine for those who didn’t as well)
———
Perks:
can be used as both an awake and asleep method
productively utilizes intrusive thoughts instead of pushing them away
it’s pretty fun ngl
Steps:
Imagine any scene from your DR (incorporate all five senses if possible!)
Live out the scene. Whenever you get an intrusive thought that “ruins” that reality (scene) for you, imagine opening up a portal and leaving it
Enter a “parallel reality” where you reenact that exact same scene you tried to live out in 1.
Repeat this process until you’re so focused on the scene that no more intrusive thoughts disturb the scene playing out
Keep going until you shift while awake or fall asleep
PLEASE let me know if you give it a try, I’d love to hear how it works for y’all (this is lowkey one of my favs among the methods I’ve come up with so far bc on my first night using it I had an insanely lucid dream where I had thought I’d shifted at first)
(specifically meant for multiple DRs, includes visualization; another transcript from my shifttok)
———
Steps:
Assign each of your DRs a number
Imagine/visualize a die with as many sides as the number of your DRs (alternatively: a coin if it’s only two) - imagine it as vividly as possible (its color, shape, material…)
Once you have a clear image in mind, visualize yourself throwing the die
Before it can come to a halt, turn away/cover it with your hand (just make sure you don’t see what it landed on)
The visualization part ends here - now affirm that you will wake up in the DR the die landed on (you don’t know which one!)
Why it works:
Zeigarnik effect → we are more likely to remember incomplete tasks or information; the interrupted die throw will more likely stay on your mind when you fall asleep - your subconscious will remember your intention and make you shift
while I do think it’s better suited as asleep method, it can definitely be used as awake method too (you could affirm smth like “I am shifting to the reality the die landed on right now” until you shift)
I’d love to hear about your experiences if you decide to try it out - happy shifting pookies.
(this is one of the first methods I’ve come up with and posted on my shifttok, so this is a transcription from that post)
———
Benefits:
suitable for everyone that is fond of sleeping methods, simple, aphantasia-friendly
You know how when you have to get up for an event the next day, you sometimes wake up right around or even before the time you have to get up?
We’re going to use that to our advantage for shifting, let’s go.
———
Steps:
Pick an appointment/event that is going to take place in your DR the next day and that you absolutely HAVE to get up in time for (ex.: first day of school, a match, an interview…)
Be specific about what time you have to get up and set an alarm for that time, then lie down
Really start stressing about having to wake up in time, this is important!!
You can start visualizing or just thinking about your morning routine for the next day (what you will have for breakfast, what you’re going to wear, what you have to prepare etc.).
Just treat it exactly like you would an appointment in your CR and really feel like you NEED to wake up in time.
———
Why it works:
This method relies on how easy it is for us to conjure up emotions of stress and excitement, paired with taking your DR off a pedestal, which makes you less desperate to get there by regarding it as normal daily life.
You merely have to focus on one thing: the fact that you have to wake up in time for the event you chose - this will trick your subconscious into thinking that waking up in your CR is out of the question.
Emotions are a powerful tool for shifting when it comes to connecting with and attaching to your DR - the stronger and more authentic the emotions, the better.
If you give this a try, do let me know how it worked out for you!
