10 5 6 Things Of What Makes Hadley Fraser Raoul is The Most Beautiful Human Being Ever Recorded.
i write this in the taxi on tumblr app forgive for the disorganized thoughts, all gif by the incomparable @faded-florals.
Here we go in non particular order
1. The Smile
so genuine, no one, and i mean no human normal being, wouldn't smile too seeing him smile like this 😳
2. The Dance
He is so extra, Super Adorable
3. The EyeGuyliner that change the world
Eyeliner always makes people more attractive, that is fact, fight me. In Hadley's case, the eyeliner makes his eyes popped more and add to his overall attractiveness.
4. This Look and that Jawline (i'm speechless)
Who had the idea for HadleyRaoul to Roll his sleeves?? did they know the impact this particular scene to us mere mortals??
5. The Forearms
6. The Hair aka Lion's mane
so fluff, so bouncy, and what color exactly is HadleyRaoul hair?
that's it, that's the post. Thank you for coming to my TEDtalk.
Oughe, he's such a cutie. Look at that cheeky smile. I wanna kiss the tip of his nose, he'd probably only flay me a little bit.

Devasena and Kali parallels
I’ve seen some posts about how Amarendra is associated with Shiva imagery, which made me wonder if there are parallels between Devasena and Kali. It wouldn’t be the only inspiration for her character, of course—Rajamouli’s influences from the Mahabharata and Ramayana are well known—but it would be really cool!
Like Kali, Devasena is both nurturing (a mother) and fierce (a warrior).
Kali is associated with time, and Devasena waits 25 years for Mahendra’s return.
(Kali is sometimes portrayed with red eyes and disheveled hair.)
Devasena returns to Mahishmati carrying a severed head (Kali is often depicted holding one). There’s also the scene where Amarendra beheads Setupathy for her.
She receives a tiger skin from Kumara Varma and is compared to a tiger (Kali is often depicted wearing a tiger skin).
She walks over Amarendra’s shoulders (like Kali stepping on Shiva).
She is the one to finally kill Bhallaladeva (Kali as a force of destruction) and her son is the one who ushers in a new era of peace and prosperity (the other side of Kali, associated with creation and renewal).
SHE IS SO AMAZING I LOVE HER SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then I realized something else! A goddess that in some ways resembles Kali, although she isn’t named, actually appears in the movie: Amarendra sacrifices his own blood to her rather than sacrifice a bull.
(She is holding a severed head, a bowl of blood, a curved blade and a trident, but she doesn’t have the right number of arms to be Kali, and there’s no garland of severed heads.)
After the battle, Amarendra is framed like this:
It’s like Rajamouli wants you to notice a connection between him and this goddess (this is before Devasena ever appears).
And when she does appear... There is another scene where Amarendra chooses not to hurt a bull and instead drops his weapon, and gets hurt as a result, and it’s explicitly about appeasing Devasena’s anger.
Devasena is literally standing in for the goddess from the other scene!!!!!!!!!
The level of symbolism and attention to detail in these movies is amazing.
Ughhh Rajamouli is so good when it comes to characterization😩💕
AmarSena + touch
He really said "please step on me" and then she did. And honestly? I respect that
making up characters is so fun because you can be like “this is johnson he came from my mind” and all your friends will go “yippe!!! horray!!! we love johnson!!!”
very unfortunate but hilarious side effect of calling the example oc johnson in this post is now people are saying this in the tags
THE MOST IMPORTANT PANEL IN THE ENTIRE FMA MANGA
each time I think this post has died off it comes back again to make another round
Got inspired a little while back by the Fem!Raphael and how Haarlep got the Archduchess form, my own headcannon is very much Mephistopheles' did it, and broke his nose at the same time (which is why the Archduchess form has it but Haarlep doesn't), I don't know I can just see Raphael being a teeny-tiny bit of a misogynist, at least before we meet him:
1. He's a cambion and their mothers die during birth and 2. If there was a female figure in his early life, it was likely Baalphegor who is a succubus. (I don't have a head cannon for his early life just yet, so I'm not too sure how much of his life is on the Material Plane or in Cania).
Honestly this went into more detail then I ever planned on doing, and made me remember I fucking hate backgrounds - so I am very pleased with how they turned out.
There was potentially a fourth page, but it was mainly just Haarlep laughing their ass off, but I might pick it back up in the New Year who knows.
Oh and the Archivist doing 'back-breaking labour' because I think he enjoys looking after the archives, not so much cleaning up after guests (or Haarlep's antics).

Finally, I drew one of my favorite cutscenes from DMC3 in my own style!💕✨️+ a little bonus~

Get in loser we're kicking out the British Raj
For funsies I decided to see if I could trigger the two text-only cut Raphael cutscenes I'd mentioned before. I did it, and while the Epilogue one only partially works and doesn't actually put you into a cutscene, the 'reveal secrets' one does put you into one. As I already knew, there's no audio, and also no animations for the mouths or bodies, which is to be expected given the dialogue itself is very much an 'early draft' version, but it made me giggle to see it.
He just sort of stands there, occasionally doing idle facial expressions.
The best part is the camera zooming in and out as each secret is revealed. He's so dramatic.
