hide 'til its bright out ✚ seto & kouha
Kouha loves when people let their guard down around him due to his innocent enough looking appearance. He’s short, has bright pink hair, and can fake being nice fairly well. It makes things go a lot easier, most times. No way someone like him could be any sort of threat, right? For now.
While he was being sized up, Kouha took the time to judge the other right back. Seto was much taller than himself, and appeared to be carrying a weapon. Mentally he makes a note to steal that sword, later. Once he gets the help he needs. He’s also attractive… but that isn’t of much importance right now. Except the fact that Kouha looking like this while being around someone cute is going to be his cause of death, rather than freezing.
The other seemed more than happy to help him, although it’s not exactly what Kouha had asked for. Time to mentally cross off stealing that sword, then. He doesn’t want anything that isn’t of the highest quality. Really, he should learn to judge his surroundings and settle, but his pride tends to get the best of him. Maybe if he gets desperate he’ll reconsider.
Kouha’s small smile turned into a much bigger one upon hearing the offer. A genuine one, too. "I’d prefer if you carried me in your arms. Bridal style, y’know? It’s a loooot more comfortable. Warmer, too!" It’s not exactly a lie, but he did have some hidden motives. (Like being able to see Seto’s face much easier being held in that way.) "By the way, I’m Ren Kouha. A prince. You should be honored to be in my presence and all." Just in case his crown didn’t make him aware of that fact. Him saying so probably cleared up the fact that he was not in fact a princess, though.
It's unfortunate that Seto didn't have anything that was more in the range of what the other was looking for, but he hoped that his kindness would suffice. The boy was short and looked like he needed the help, although he wasn't quick to underestimate him. The crown was an immediate giveaway that this wasn't a normal stranger; it was somewhat intimidating, but Seto kept on a smile.
There were much more dangers to be cautious of on the mountains besides a stranger, and maybe it would help to pair up, right? So this was a great idea in Seto's mind, really. Kouha was legitimately a prince, too! That's extremely cool, and he was slightly revered that he would be able to help someone of a royal status. Of course, he might not be a prince in this world, but the title was still there regardless. "It really is an honor to meet a prince! My name is Kousuke Seto," he stated.
It was also confirmed that this is a boy that we're dealing with here, and not in fact a girl. Not that it changed anything, though. Seto thought for a minute, and then nodded, going along with the idea of carrying him differently. "Ah, yeah, I guess you're right."
"And if that's what you want, I don't think I could deny a prince, anyway." Seto adjusted his sleeves and walked over to the prince, placing his cheap weapon against a tree. He decided it would probably be best to simply take initiative, so he carefully, and especially gently, picked the other up, relieved that Kouha is as light as he assumed from the start. Once the black-haired boy was sure that he was holding the other comfortably, he gestured towards the sword. "I can't hold you and the sword, so I hope you don't mind holding on to it. We might need it." For some unknown reason, Seto trusted him with it.
