Spemma

I really dont understand why spemma is so hated. I like that they ended that generation with them being together. Yes i would have loved Jane and Spinner together and Sean and Emma together but it didnt happen that way.

Heres the thing about Jane and Spinner. SHE CHEATED ON HIM. that i just cannot look past for one. for two she cheated on him because he was getting way too comfortable with her for her liking. She wanted to go to places like New York and where ever her college was. She didnt want to be in Toronto, married with a baby on her hip. She wasnt looking to settle.

Spinner on the other hand was. He was so excited to make jane her own little drawer. Have her move in and everything. He had his manager job at The Dot. He was totally comfortable and totally set. He loved Jane but wasnt ready to go on ten million adventures with her.

Emma.. i felt like if anyone was going to do great things it was going to be Emma. She was going to save the world. We started to see that alittle bit when she came home from school doing her biking campaign. She was with Kelly and things were going pretty well it seemed for her. Im pretty sure that at that point she had left college but didnt tell her parents and Kelly wanted to continue with it and on his own path and thats one of the reasons they broke up. But anyways. At that point in her life she didnt want to be away from home. She wanted to be grounded there and basically settle in, at least for now. So through an act of random ass events she marries spinner in Niagra Falls (or where ever they were.)

Honestly to me that was crazy enough that they were just hanging out together like everything in like the first 9 seasons of degrassi never happened. But i mean i also get it too. my point is spinner and emma (at the time) were at the same points in their lives. They both wanted to be in the degrassi community and be settled. Its an awkward pairing BECAUSE of the nine seasons if drama they had with others and such but honestly i think it worked.

You cant expect Emma to wait around forever for Sean, who didnt he end up having ptsd from the military? and Spinner to be hung up on Jane, who didnt even really want him anymore anyways?

I think it was a good ending and also i saw something about the writers saying that they made a mistake with this but i honestly think it was just peer pressure from fans.
