The Power Of Pussy - Bongwater (LP)
Where: One from eBay (with 2 other Bongwater albums: Double Bummer & Too Much Sleep); one from British Heart Foundation, Streatham
Why: I discovered Bongwater down a rabbit hole. Nick Cave’s Facebook page announced the production of limited edition figurines of the man himself. Several comments on the post mentioned the first Bongwater song I would hear, ‘Nick Cave Dolls’. I listened, I loved the monologue, the grungy production, the eroticism and humour of the track. Repeat listens prompted me to explore the whole album, ‘The Power Of Pussy’. It didn’t hook me right away but over time this LP has cemented itself as one of my favourite albums. I like it so much, I own two copies.
How Much: First copy £10, second copy £4
Best Tracks: Nick Cave Dolls, Obscene & Pornographic Art, Folk Song

This is a still-sealed, original cassette from ‘89 — on 50 Skidillion Watts Records.
Found this press photo in the bowels of an Allston record shop back in July.
The owner said it, along with a bunch of other live/press shots I grabbed, was just in the apartment closet of a famous local music writer (name escapes me now) who simply left them behind.
