We report: the light is thick and sluggish today. It laboriously works its way through the air, and stays suspended in the dust. In the afternoon heat, we also find our movements slow and heavy. We feel as though we can tell each ray of light apart as they hit our face.

commentary from the curator: I ended up combining the two options and going for theatre costumes that take inspiration from uniforms (and also sailing more generally). these are both from a production of HMS Pinafore, and I hope they fit what you were looking for! if not, please feel free to send in another request! ☺️

It's fine to disagree with the IAU about the definition of "planet"; however, if your definition includes Pluto but not Ceres, Orcus, Haumea, Quaoar, Makemake, Gonggong, Eris or Sedna, you don't actually care what a planet is – you just want the exact list of nine planets you learned in primary school back. Your cute little Pluto-including orbital distance mnemonic ought to be at least seventeen words long, and good fucking luck with the Q!
