i'm not even actively waiting for paralives release or following its news, but it annoys me so much when people tear it down like "it's not sims killer! this feature isn't better than in sims!"

like, come fucking on. it's another game in this genre. they don't have to be 1:1, each is their own thing, and there's no battle royale between life sim games. you don't have to pick sides, you will have both to enjoy, and you are allowed to enjoy both! what, if i love dragon age, i'm not allowed to like baldur's gate? if someone loves animal crossing, they aren't allowed to like petit planet, only to tear it down?

it's stupid. when i like a genre, i want to try more and more games in this genre. it's not a war.

Asobi - Part 1

Hi Simmers!

We are starting the month with our brand new collection: Asobi! The name means "pastimes" or "leisure time" in Japanese. This time, our collection is all about a trip back to childhood with analogcore gaming, old-school Sega gaming consoles, and lots of game cartridges.

We’re kicking things off with a small gaming nook with plenty of clutter and details for that messy, lived in look. We also feature an old-school game console inspired by the Sega Genesis. For this special piece, we have both a brand-new version and an old, rusty version covered in stickers.

UPDATE: We've just added a fully functional, playable version for the game console!! With all the swatches as the decor versions. Hope you guys like it!

Sims 4 CC TUTORIAL: How to make Glowing-Edge Body Parts and Glowing Edges on CAS Items and Accessories

I deleted the old post for this tutorial (although the link on the old post is still the same, whoops) because I needed to rewrite it. Thank you to the friend that helped me with this. The tutorial is linked on both the title of this post and the image.

You know Valhallansim made those cool glowing-edge horns back in 2017? I dug around the files and Blender to figure out how it was done. I have combined everything I learned in this tutorial. What I learned from Valhallan's files I used to make a guide on how to make glowing edges for body parts as well as glowing CAS items.

It will show you how to give glowing edges to body parts and to CAS items and accessories. It also has explanations of possible issues, causes and fixes if something goes wrong in your process.

Photoshop can be used for all of the steps involving GIMP if you prefer Photoshop.

UPDATE: 24/04/26 - A discovery from a friend has removed a whole step! Doing the Remove Doubles / Merge by Distance step BEFORE you use the Shrink / Fatten morphing stops the mesh from splitting so you don't have to seal the holes!
