What is your first impressions of Shisui and Izumi Uchiha?

“Hn. The days I spent with other members of my clan are still hazy, its hard to remember some details. I had no real thoughts on Izumi, Itachi had very little free time already and so in my more stubborn days I simply saw her as a pest. Looking back now, I understand Itachi’s situation with her, though I doubt it was ever something entirely romantic. Brother was never the type. 

Shisui is more vivid. He was like a superhero to me. With Itachi it was different, he lived in the same house, it grounded him in reality. But most of my knowledge on Shisui came from Itachi, tales of their missions exciting me without fail…Shisui was a true shinobi, I only wish I had been able to spend more time with him.”

Kakashi stared at the child in the hospital bed, honestly surprised the little boy was unconscious. Granted the nurses might have had to knock out him out again. She dropped her mask on the table quietly before pulling up a chair turning it around and sitting. Crossing her arms over the back she pulled out a book, some random one her team mate had given her, and began to read. It had been a week now since the massacre, she came to visit every night but it was so late that the boy was usually asleep. She was supposed to take care of him since she was one of the few who would be able to both understand what he had been through, she had lost everyone in her life too, one of them by her own hand, and she had the Sharingan so she could help train him. She wasn’t sure how much she would be able to help, revenge ran deep and long, she knew that all too well. But she was supposed to help him with that.

With a gentle movement, the child twitched. His dreams were no longer adventurous or other fantastical tales. Sasuke only saw darkness now. He would only see the darkness for the rest of his life. This didn’t dull his skills, no...It had made him fr stronger. Ever since that day he had been on edge, checking every corner, ever shadow for danger. So the fact that someone was watching over him as he slept was more than cause for alarm

Shooting up with a burst of shock, Sasuke woke in a cold sweat, his eyes tired and sore.

“Who....Who are you?”

A Chance Meeting.

Darkness. Albeit it would be if not for the moonlight beaming through the trees. Its rays landing upon the young Uchiha’s wearied visage. Sasuke was tired, more tired than he had been in a long time. These hazardous journeys were beginning to take their toll, draining Sasuke with every step.

Having found a suitable place to rest, a hawk summoning watching over him to ward of intruders, Sasuke wandered once more, lost in a dream.

“Where…Where am I?”

The last thing Nao remembered doing, was sleeping.

Now she was in this illuminated place, trying to see what was in front of her.

That was too strange. The chances of her being kidnapped was very low, since her father was home too, but it didn’t really feel like a dream.

Hearing the stranger’s voice, the girl tensed. 

“Who are you?”

She started to consider being caught in a genjutsu.

“Uchiha… Madara?” She looked confused when she finally saw the person’s face. “Wait, you’re to pale to be him…”

It was in an instant. Without a single hesitation, Sasuke had dashed directly towards the female, holding his blade to her throat in one swift display of grace and speed.

“I’ll ask you the same. Where am I? And how do you know about Uchiha Madara?”

“Talk.”

“Woah!” Nao’s guard was down, but she knew that even if it wasn’t, it would result in the same situation, That guy was fast.

The cold blade against her throat made her speak.

“I don’t know where you are. I don’t even know where I am.” Nao replied. “And you’ll have to do better if you want iformations from Konoha. I won’t tell you anything.”

Nao wouldn’t never betray Konoha. Even if she died trying to protect it.

Sasuke was taken aback, he could tell from her resolve. She wasn’t lying. Still, he wasn’t Naruto, the Uchiha would need convincing if he was going to let his blade down.

“My eyes alone should prove to you that I’m from the leaf, I don’t care if you believe me or not. Just give me answers, now.”

“Your eyes, you say…” Nao looked into his eyes, the black from the Uchiha, and the other in a strange pattern. “And do you want me to believe in you? We’re probably in a genjutsu, you may be faking your looks.”

Nao stared at him severely.

“Do whatever you want, I’ll never open my mouth to say anything to you.”

“Tch. Your type is always the most annoying.”

With a heavy sigh, the Uchiha sheathed his blade, turning away from the female. He was wasting his time interrogating her. Killing her would have been the easier choice but Sasuke had lost interest. People that never give up have always rubbed him the wrong way.

Sasuke decided to look around this dreamlike landscape, trying to find a way out with his ocular prowess.

That was… Too easy.

“Wait, I’m offended. You threatened me, and I’m the annoying one?” She mumbled.

“Why all the Uchihas act like this? I miss Kagami’s personality in times like this…” Nao said to herself. 

Well, if Madara’s clone wasn’t trying to get information from her, what he wanted?

And the most important, how would she get out of here?

Sasuke shot the woman an angered glance, the void they were in making even the slightest  word echo relentlessly.

“This isn’t a genjutsu, and I can’t warp out with my Rinnegan. Hmph, guess I’m not leaving anytime soon then.”

“Rinnegan? Is related to sharingan in some way?” She couldn’t stop herself. “I have heard about mangekyou sharingan and the eternal one, but rinnegan?”

Sasuke was surprised she did not know of the Sage of Six Paths legend, perhaps it was presumptuous of him to assume everyone was as knowledgeable about shinobi history as him. So, he left out any mention of Hagoromo, not wishing to be forced to answer even more questions.

“Tch.” Nao mumbled before commenting. “So there is an evolution afterall. Though even the powerful Uchiha I’ve ever seen didn’t have this one.” She whispered the last part. “Father would have an heart attack if he knew about this.” The girl frowned her eyebrows.

It was obvious to Sasuke that she was referring to Madara, the Uchiha having a small smirk at the irony. Though it was her next sentence, the words that followed that connected the dots. The mannerisms, the resemblance…It was obvious to Sasuke’s keen eyes.

“You’re…A descendant of the Second Hokage?”

“No.” She replied fast. Too fast. For fuck’s sake, Nao was a horrible liar. “Anyway, who are you? Madara’s long lost son?” The girl tried to change the subject.

“So you are. I should have expected a senju to be more impressive.”

Sasuke could read her like an open book, it was almost embarrassing.

“Madara is a relative. But I am nothing like that madman.”

Nao sighed. There was no need to try to hide things anymore. “Don’t blame the bloodline, I’m adopted, you know.”

She frowned her eyebrows.

“Mad? I’m not going to lie, he can be kinda creepy when he wants, but he’s not mad at all. He helped Lord Hokage founding Konoha.” Madara once helped her when she fell right in front of him.

Darkness. Albeit it would be if not for the moonlight beaming through the trees. Its rays landing upon the young Uchiha’s wearied visage. Sasuke was tired, more tired than he had been in a long time. These hazardous journeys were beginning to take their toll, draining Sasuke with every step.

Having found a suitable place to rest, a hawk summoning watching over him to ward of intruders, Sasuke wandered once more, lost in a dream.

“Where…Where am I?”

Now she was in this illuminated place, trying to see what was in front of her.

That was too strange. The chances of her being kidnapped was very low, since her father was home too, but it didn’t really feel like a dream.

Hearing the stranger’s voice, the girl tensed. 

“Who are you?”

She started to consider being caught in a genjutsu.

“Uchiha… Madara?” She looked confused when she finally saw the person’s face. “Wait, you’re to pale to be him…”

Tugs at the loose sleeve on his little brother's left, expression worried. When did he lose the arm?

Sasuke would turn to look at his brothers hand, staring for just a moment. Yet to him, it felt like an eternity. It was more than just the loss of limb. To the avenger, it had been a release. As if he was shackled to the past, to his own hatred, finally set free. 

The sharingan wanderer looked back to his concerned brother, his eyes glazed over with regret. To this day Sasuke will never understand how someone could care so much about him, perhaps he never will. 

“Its nothing, I had closed my eyes in the darkness, a friend just woke me up.”

Sasuke knew Itachi’s displeasure of conflict, the two being total opposites in that regard. The Uchiha didn’t want his brother to suffer any more pain, wishing to make his new found peace as comfortable as possible.

Yet, Itachi might benefit from seeing the world anew himself. Perhaps it would even bring Sasuke a greater form of closure.

“Itachi…You could join me. Your reputation is not what it was, you wont be easily recognizable. You spent time traveling with your Akatsuki partner if I recall.”

Sasuke originally had only seen parenthood as a means to an end. His trauma as a child making it hard for him to view anyone else as ‘family’. He had always intended to have children but never thought past that.

Once he saw Sarada for the first time, something changed. He was overwhelmed with the responsibility of having another life depend on him while also wishing to protect her from the curse of hatred. For that reason Sasuke is an over protective father, not wanting anything to hurt his daughter the same way he was hurt. His main influences being Itachi and Fugaku.

“Woah!” Nao’s guard was down, but she knew that even if it wasn’t, it would result in the same situation, That guy was fast.

The cold blade against her throat made her speak.

“I don’t know where you are. I don’t even know where I am.” Nao replied. “And you’ll have to do better if you want iformations from Konoha. I won’t tell you anything.”

Nao wouldn’t never betray Konoha. Even if she died trying to protect it.

“Konoha?”

Sasuke was taken aback, he could tell from her resolve. She wasn’t lying. Still, he wasn’t Naruto, the Uchiha would need convincing if he was going to let his blade down.

“My eyes alone should prove to you that I’m from the leaf, I don’t care if you believe me or not. Just give me answers, now.”

“Your eyes, you say…” Nao looked into his eyes, the black from the Uchiha, and the other in a strange pattern. “And do you want me to believe in you? We’re probably in a genjutsu, you may be faking your looks.”

Nao stared at him severely.

“Do whatever you want, I’ll never open my mouth to say anything to you.”

With a heavy sigh, the Uchiha sheathed his blade, turning away from the female. He was wasting his time interrogating her. Killing her would have been the easier choice but Sasuke had lost interest. People that never give up have always rubbed him the wrong way.

Sasuke decided to look around this dreamlike landscape, trying to find a way out with his ocular prowess.

“Wait, I’m offended. You threatened me, and I’m the annoying one?” She mumbled.

“Why all the Uchihas act like this? I miss Kagami’s personality in times like this…” Nao said to herself. 

Well, if Madara’s clone wasn’t trying to get information from her, what he wanted?

Sasuke shot the woman an angered glance, the void they were in making even the slightest  word echo relentlessly.

“This isn’t a genjutsu, and I can’t warp out with my Rinnegan. Hmph, guess I’m not leaving anytime soon then.”

“Rinnegan? Is related to sharingan in some way?” She couldn’t stop herself. “I have heard about mangekyou sharingan and the eternal one, but rinnegan?”

Sasuke was surprised she did not know of the Sage of Six Paths legend, perhaps it was presumptuous of him to assume everyone was as knowledgeable about shinobi history as him. So, he left out any mention of Hagoromo, not wishing to be forced to answer even more questions.

“Tch.” Nao mumbled before commenting. “So there is an evolution afterall. Though even the powerful Uchiha I’ve ever seen didn’t have this one.” She whispered the last part. “Father would have an heart attack if he knew about this.” The girl frowned her eyebrows.

It was obvious to Sasuke that she was referring to Madara, the Uchiha having a small smirk at the irony. Though it was her next sentence, the words that followed that connected the dots. The mannerisms, the resemblance...It was obvious to Sasuke’s keen eyes.

“You’re...A descendant of the Second Hokage?”
