"I am a hero too" thoughts + analysis: Deku and Eri
First of all, I know this ep was only 6 mins long but my goodness it was the sweetest thing... I firstly wanna make this point. Even tho Deku didn't say a WORD to Eri in this ep, I could feel his love and care for her pouring out of every second of the 6 mins. Idk, it might be just me, cos I found it in all the small details:
Deku's post-it note reminder about Eri's show said a lot to me and I've heard no one else talk about this so I'll explain. Deku sensei is a busy guy. Like REALLY busy. Not only is he now a top pro, but he's juggling teaching on top of that, and not to mention we've also seen him work with young children! Even tho his schedule is hectic, he's making sure to remind himself about Eri's show. People as busy as he is can often push their loved ones away because they're prioritising work... not Deku tho. Never Deku. He cares for Eri enough to put her first when she wants his support on a rlly big day - after all, it was her first show!
Also, I imagine there's no way Deku just happened to be free on the same weekend of Eri's show. He likely had to clear up his schedule to make sure he was able to come. If he found out months in advance, it would've been easier, but if it was very short notice, e.g on the same week, then Deku would've had to (respectfully) throw some hands w anyone who wanted his time for jobs and meetings. Sorry, but he's gonna have to reschedule!! Eri comes first!!!!! She invited him, so she wanted him there!! I honestly think that being a teacher would make him even busier than Mirio who's the #1 hero!
Loved these guys' reactions... Mirio taking his glasses off and getting emotional, and Deku's smile getting wider and wider as he sees how happy Eri is... not to mention Katsuki and Shoto making time to come as well <3
I love how the other 3 are wearing super casual clothes meanwhile there's Deku in a suit... it rlly highlights my point of him being the busiest one out of all of them. He didn't even have time to change into casuals, he likely just rushed over to the show's venue from wherever he was on that weekend day the MINUTE he finished up with work. The show isn't rlly a formal event, after all, which is why the others are just wearing casuals. With Deku it's either a normal suit or his mech suit, no time for casuals!!!!
AAAAA SHES SO PRECIOUS LOOK HOW FULL OF JOY SHE IS 🥺💞💞 To me it looks like she's realised Deku's taking pics of her, and the fact that it signifies him loving, enjoying and paying full attention to her show!
And Deku? He's not just taking pics to remember the show, it's because she's smiling wide and he wants to cherish that forever! 💚
AND ALSO COS HES APPARENTLY TAKEN UP PHOTOGRAPHY AS A HOBBY AND I HAD NO IDEA TILL YESTERDAY????!?!
