Red Shoe Theory is my biggest fandom pet peeve. It's so silly. I cannot take a fanfic seriously once they bring that into it, and so often they are trying to be serious. It's the pinky toe, it is not going to make people's foot sizes so drastically different that Quirkless people - in a world where many others have mutations that also change how their feet look - are stuck with one model of shoe. Like, look at shoes today! We have narrow and wide shoes!! Everyone's a little bit different!

#if it's a crack fic sure whatever but hoooow can you make someone's shoes a plot point 😭#also. All Might. if there were Quirkless People Shoes. All Might would wear them.

I'm super into BNHA again at the moment but only for two AUs that live in my mind, one of which stars an OC that I alone care about. The other idea is one that I'm obsessed with but have no idea how to write down. I call that one All For Naught, and it's an AU where All Might successfully kills AFO (but in AFO's dying moment, he passed on his quirk to his successor, Tomura).

#All For Naught AU is everything to me.#AFO grew more and more paranoid as All Might tore through his criminal empire. after All Might destroyed several of his bases‚ he fled #and took Tomura with him. his successor is his future‚ but he's also so much like Yoichi. he can't let heroes take everything from him agai #of course‚ All Might catches up.#AFO levels a city to keep him occupied. he tries to get Tomura to safety #but All Might sees AFO with a civilian child hostage and intercepts‚ attempting to rescue Tomura. attempting to kill AFO.#after fatally wounding AFO‚ All Might passes out from his injuries. Tomura finds his sensei and attempts to help him #unfortunately‚ there's not much Tomura can do. it's hard to staunch bleeding when you can't properly put pressure on a wound #because you're afraid of your touch killing the person you want to save.#(Sensei always told him he should embrace his affinity for destruction. trained him to embrace the quirk that life delt him.#to reach out without remorse.) (despite his teachings‚ just once‚ just this once Tomura just wanted everything to be fixed instead.)#when Sensei moved‚ alive despite how his body looked‚ Tomura wept with joy. Sensei cupped a hand against his face‚ clumsily (his eyes #(his head— his skull—) (it's almost too gruesome to look at‚ and Tomura has seen a lot.)#(but sensei's alive he's okay he has the most powerful healing quirks on the planet multiple times over of course he'll survive this—)#Sensei holds Tomura's face. blood pours from his mouth. his chest was caved in from once of All Might's punches.#he doesn't speak‚ but Tomura hears his voice clearly: “You are my future. My successor. My legacy.” and then all he knows is pain.#without months of the doctor's careful preparation‚ Tomura's body cannot handle the multitude of Quirks AFO passed onto him #he spends the next several years in a medically induced coma being put back together.#Kurogiri keeps watch. the nomu had tried to free Shigaraki Tomura from the confines of an underground vault once‚ when the child was young.#it would never try again.#(the doctor never forgave it for being confined to his lab being reprogrammed when Sensei could have used Warp Gate most.)#and then Tomura attacks the USJ and goes “My name is Shigaraki Tomura. you killed my Sensei. prepare to die... wait‚ where's All Might?”
