synopsis: in which you were having your own little adventure at the mall when a surprise came around.

It was around 10:30 a.m. on a Saturday when you were walking around the mall to meet someoneβcarrying two bouquets of flowers you and your mother made the other day as you wandered around your favorite place in town at a perfect opening hour.
You passed by the grocery store, your favorite book store, to this specific area of the mall near an entrance/exit wherein it was only surrounded by clothing stores.
You spotted H&M, and just by a rack of new arrivals clothes near the entrance, you finally spotted the lovely girl you have been best friends with for a long time, Sadie Sink. Despite wearing a coat and some fancy shades for her not to be noticed, you recognized your sweet red-headed lady friend anyway.
You instantly smiled and never hesitated to come over to her.
She was so focused on browsing through the latest clothes hanging on the rack, and by the time you reached her, you stood carefully on the opposite side.
You waited for a moment before you spoke up to greet her.
Sadie stopped looking through shirts midway and looked up to notice youβa smile immediately formed on her lips.
She took off her sunglasses and you went around the rack to come over to give her a hug.
βI knew youβd be here!β you told her, both of you chuckling.
βYeah, I heard they got some new arrivals,β she told you.
βOh cool! I might check out later.β
You faintly blushed, almost forgetting why you approached her in the first place.
βOh umβ¦my mom and I made this for you the other day,β you said to her as you carefully handed out the lovely bouquet of flowers made especially for her. βItβs for you!β
Her beautiful blue eyes widened in awe, taking in the sight of the lovely handmade gift you and your mother made just for her.
βOh my,β she gasped. βThis is so lovely! Thank you so much! Tell your mom thank you too!β
βAw, you're welcome!β you said to her, βThatβs for youβ¦to congratulate you on Romeo and Juliet. You guys were so amazing!β
βThank you, thank you!β she giggled as she caught you in a tight embrace.
βLove you, Sadie,β you chuckled as you hugged her back.
You two pulled away, her eyes still lingered on your present for her.
βSo, weβre gonna hang out tonight?β you asked her.
βYes!β her gaze finally returned to you, still smiling. βLater at the hotelβs restaurant where I am staying, if thatβs cool with you.β
About twenty minutes later, you were walking by the wellness section. The other bouquet still clung to your other armβyou realized you brought two with you: the other was the one you had just given to Sadie, while this other one was a spare (you figured it was since you noticed it didnβt have a name or gift tag on).
You wondered who you would be giving that other pretty bouquet of flowers to. But right now what mattered was you walking around the mall with some lovely flowers with you. It seemed like it was going to be a pretty nice day.
However, a shiver ran down your spine when you felt an arm snaking around youβwhich made you startle.
As you turned your head, you were relieved that the person doing this to you was not some stranger at the mall at all.
It was your beloved and funny boyfriend, Finn Wolfhard.
βHey! Found you!β he playfully greeted, exaggerating the βuβ.
You lightly hit him with the extra bouquet of flowers in your hands on his arm.
βYou almost scared me there!β you chuckled.
βHey! Easy on the flowers!β he told you before snaking his arm around you again.
βWhat are you doing here anyway?β
βWell, I have the day off,β he said. βFigured youβd be here.β
You couldnβt resist that smirk on his face again.
βWell, you found me.β
βNow, tell me the lucky guy whoβs going to receive those lovely flowers?β he said to you.
Your gazed drifted towards the bouquet in your hands, then back to his big brown eyes youβve always adored so much.
βThese?β you asked, holding it up. βI gave the other one to Sadie earlier. My mom and I made these. This oneβs a spare.β
βOh, I see,β he said, eyes on the bouquet. βYou donβt have anyone in mind to give that to?β
βNo,β you responded. βIβm not sure who to give this to.β
βWell, may I have it?β he asked.
βYeah, I would love to!β he chuckled.
Okay, that damn smirk again!
You rolled your eyes, and handed him the spare bouquet anyway.
βFine!β you said, exaggerating on the βeβ.
βThank you! These are lovely!β he smiled, gratefully accepting the extra bouquet of flowers you and your mom made.
He took a fleeting sniff before snaking his arm again around your shoulders and continued to walk together.
βThese are beautiful, really,β he looked down at you and then pressed a soft loving kiss to your head as you two strolled.
βYouβre welcome, buddy!β you couldnβt help but smile, feeling the presence of your lovely boyfriend.
βThis just made my day,β he said. βHey, are you free today?β
βWell, I have the rest of the afternoon to myself and then Sadie and I will have dinner together tonightβ¦so yeah,β you told him. βYou can have me all afternoon, Finnie.β
βAwesome!β he smiled. βWanna have lunch together? I know a cool place and itβs secluded too.β
Finn led the way walking in front of youβoffering his hand for you to hold onto as you followed him.
