I’m launching my Summer Art Residency—a self-directed 6-week creative deep dive in my own studio.

The theme? “Following the Thread” — an exploration of memory, identity, and how the past shapes the present. I’ll be working with monotype printing, collage, and mixed media paper works.

🔗 I'll share updates on my Studio Feed, occasional newsletters, and a new Pinterest board for works-in-progress and inspirations.

This residency is about making space for what matters—quiet experiments, tactile process, and creative freedom.

Why Orange Blossoms I grew up across the road from a large commercial orange grove and the scent of orange blossoms in the spring – especially in the evening – is one of the defining smells of my childhood. Memory is a house with uncertain walls. This image shows some of the steps I use to make the stamps or blocks I’m using in this project. I draw the image freehand on thin styrofoam (the kind that plates and food trays are made of) with a stylus or pencil then cut them out and adhere it to a substrate. If it’s a flat plate, I usually just use cardboard and double stick tape. For a shaped stamp like these orange blossoms, I glued it down with aliphatic glue because it’s water resistant.

This is “Les Fruits”, a folded folio from my studio workbench—full of brush marks, notes, and layered textures. Each folio is different, but this one feels bright and fresh.

It’s part of a tiny collection I’m offering on Kickstarter—each a real piece of my creative practice, made to be held and shared.
