Finally got around to making a general intro post...still working on the character directory. I'll get there.

Made this to keep more intense writing off @heta-micronomics. This'll mostly be whump, though I'll likely use it to house some smut or nsfw headcanons as well (tagged, of course).

I'm a huge extreme horror fan, but I always deconstruct it. All my scenarios and stories have an eventual happy ending in mind, and I focus a lot on the aftermath and recovery. I often prefer psychological horror over straight gore, though the latter is still a great tool!

Full disclosure, most of the characters I write are from Hetalia. However, I use canon as a setting scaffolding, and a decade of worldbuilding means they veer into OC territory at times anyway. I'll only use their human names here, and honestly you don't need too much context. Just know they're immortal for the most part.

Whumper could be so convincing. And kind. If the nights ever got too bad, too violent, whumper would become the kindest person ever the next day. It's like he knew exactly what whumpee craved and only did it whenever he had hurt them most.

The worst thing is: whumpee enjoyed it.

They'd look forward to whumper hurting them because it'd mean that whumper would make up for it the following day. They wanted the affection that'd follow, the kind words, the gifts and whumper, for once, being nice.

It was enough to convince whumpee to keep going, to upkeep their relationship, their sex life. Anything to keep whumper showing them affection. Whumpee just needed to do whatever whumper wanted and when, unavoidably, they would get hurt, they'd at least get the love they were owed for it.

Tips for writing someone dying of sepsis, as a person who survived it:

1. It fucking HURTS!!! Wherever the infection is will be red hot to the touch, and also be in extreme pain. My infection was in my left ankle and if I tapped my left foot on the ground, I would be crying in pain

2. They are not able of having in depth conversations. The infection messes with your head, even if it is far away from your brain. For me, I was so incredibly tired all the time. You could talk to me, but I felt like I was living in molasses the whole time. It was very, very hard for me to hold a conversation with anyone

3. The person is sick in EVERY WAY. I was throwing up constantly, I could barely keep food down, and anything I did eat made me feel sick afterwards. I was also so weak that getting myself into my kitchen from my bedroom would wind me. My apartment is less than 700 square feet. It is not a far distance between the 2

4. The gut feeling. I was keenly aware something was wrong. I knew, in my heart of hearts, that I was dying. Its hard to describe other than your body is telling you "youre about to die"

Whumpees attuned to other's health conditions like seizure alert dogs

Defiant Whumpee who has no respect for authority figures. They talk back, lie, disobey, clearly feel very comfortable not being compliant. Except for with Whumper. Whumpee still is defiant but there is this constant tinge of anxiety under it. Whumper can hurt them, has hurt them, and while Whumpee doesn’t want anyone to know that they can’t hide the lingering fear.

i love to write hidden(?) ailments with characters who don't know, or don't want to admit, what's wrong with them/how serious it is. but it's also fun when the character knows Exactly what's wrong with them + how serious it is, but doesn't think it's bad enough to need treatment, doesn't think they specifically deserve treatment, doesn't trust the people around them to help, just assumes nothing can be done, etc.

Handler desperately trying to hide LWs panic attacks. LWs psyche is fracturing more and more, it's getting harder to hide, and Handler gets desperate, their own mind starting to bend under the pressure.

a dynamic I really enjoy in fiction is when a relationship starts with some power imbalance, then changes into something sweet and balanced, and eventually shifts into imbalance in the other direction 🤤
