Can't believe it's been a month since the last chapter 👀 I kept myself busy with my other hobbies during the long wait, but now we're finally back with the next part of the TV station hijacking arc!
Even though the whole chapter was just Loid, Yor, and Yuri imagining "what if" scenarios if they were to react to the terrorists, it just goes to show how afraid they are of being found out (well in Yuri's case, he's more afraid of dying).
Speaking of Yuri, holy crap his face in this panel! He really should have gone through with his plan, the terrorists would have run for their lives thinking a demon was gonna eat them 😵💫
Between this panel and his "losing teeth" panel from last chapter...if Anya is the master of funny faces in the series, Yuri is definitely the master of scary faces!
I'm sure I wasn't the only one who got faked out by Loid's "what if" thought since it was the first one.
But even though I didn't fall for the same thing with Yor's and Yuri's, it was still funny seeing the exaggerated scenarios they thought of 😅
C'mon Yor, you've used the "It's not what you think Loid..." excuse on him so many times and nothing happened, this time should be no different 😂
I also like how Yuri takes Chloe's words to heart here.
And Yor is determined to protect Loid ❤️
Even though the majority of this chapter was just these fake-out, "what if" scenes, we got quite a twist ending! So these "terrorists" are just a bunch of rabid fans? So rabid in fact, that the actually took a TV station hostage so they can force the actors of this movie or TV show they adore to make it as they see fit (if "Five Year Love Plan" is a TV show and not a movie, I'm assuming they'd only want to reshoot important episodes and not the entire series...the latter would mean a lot of bathroom breaks for the audience 😮)
Thinking about the setup of this arc, my theory for what will happen next is that these rabid fans will force audience members to play parts in the reshoot, which will result in Loid, Yor, and/or Yuri being put in embarrassing situations...on live TV! Since it's called "Five Year Love Plan," I would guess there'd be a lot of lovely-dovey scenes, and Loid and Yor would be forced to "act" them out (being flustered at first but then maybe realizing they like it?) Not sure what part Yuri would play, but he'd at least be forced to watch this lovey-dovey scene with utmost contempt 😅Also the fact that it's called "Five Year Love Plan" makes it seem like it's a plan of being in love for five years, like it's someone's "plan" to be in love for some ulterior motive...sound familiar, Loid? Maybe playing a part in such a scenario will make him think of things he'd rather not think about.
Of course, this is just my speculation right now and could be totally wrong. It's just what I came up with considering, from a narrative perspective, why the three of them would be put in this particular situation, and Endo not wanting to have the arc be too similar to the bus hijacking. But yeah, we'll have to wait until next week to see where this crazy outcome leads!
